Search Doug Ghim on this site and check out the sick Titleist staff he was rocking when he was still an AM. TS3 when it was still a proto. I had no clue at one point he was the next great player, top AM.

First Hoffman takes a clearly improper drop on 16 after hitting his 2nd into the water over the green and now the LEADER, Westwood takes what clearly look like a wrong drop after hittin from the pinestraw into the water.

 

Tracking his 2nd shot in slo mo the ball never leaves the right rough and goes into the water throught the rough just left of the pine straw AT the water.

 

His drop seems to be quite a bit left and into the fairway, nowhere near "back on the line" relief and also certainly not anywhere near lateral relief.

 

Is this the "old boys club" or does everybody need Lasik ?

Sure for one or two events it’s a crapshoot at that level, which leads into the credibility of the Euro Tour but over the course of a season you’ll see  the best players are playing the PGA Tour mainly.

It's the cash.  There is more money.  Likely because there are only a few jurisdictions where taxes, etc., have to be considered.  Plus in Europe it seems soccer is the only sport that draws spectators.  But any question of quality is money-driven.
