Wow, OP really doesn't like Arnie's event.

Nice job on the major "bait", though, but it's just a really nice event with a fun and surprisingly diabolical hole (well, fans seem to think it's fun only if guys miss the green, haha) that's screwing with the schedule thanks to Tim Finchem.

Love Arnold Palmer, but I hate the way the API is covered . Hate the photos of Arnie's office and every damn NBC announcer reiterating what Arnie meant to, despise the Jimmy Roberts segments, and cannot stand the stupid Tiger flashbacks every season. Just show the dang golf with being so sobby! Is that too much to ask?

51 weeks out of the year? Nope. This week all out Arnie!

And his office is pretty cool, so are his warehouses.

The "5 Families" that run golf:

USGA - U.S. Open

R&A - British Open

Augusta National - Masters

PGA of America - PGA Championship

PGA Tour - Tour Championship and/or The Players Championship

Why wouldn't one of these be considered a major, especially considering The Players has the highest purse in golf, plenty of history, a field consisting of the Top 50 in the world, and a famous host course?

For the record, it's most definitely a major.  Case closed.  End of discussion.

Except for the fact that it isn't. Jack and Tiger are at 18 and 15, not 21 and 17.

Actually a lot of players would put the Memorial ahead of the Players for consideration for the, lol, 5th major.

But this week is Arnie's week!

Bleacher Report runs the "Match" therefore Tiger Woods has 18 majors and Charles Barkley and Peyton Manning have the same number of majors as Rickie Fowler!

The rumor on the street is Kuchar offered to split a cab to the airport with the caddie and bought him a nice Mexican dinner at the taco bell before take off.

He let the caddy order off the full menu at Taco Bell, not the value menu, is what I heard.

Yeah the host course is enough not to call it a major ever, even if God of Majors came and said "I make thee a major, be it so" it still wouldn't become a major because of it being played on this particular course.

Lol...I give you Kemper Lakes....Pecan Valley....Chambers Bay......and you scoff at Sawgrass?

I did like the “5 families” post. Very logical idea.

For the record, it's most definitely a major.  Case closed.  End of discussion.

I’ve decided to make the World Long Drive Championship the 6th major. The unheralded 6th family that runs golf. The WLD.

So add to the list above.

WLD- World Long Drive Championship.

A field consisting of the longest drivers in golf, competing on the most famous grid in all of the WLD.

For the record, the unequivocal 6th major. Case closed. End of discussion. PERIOD. For the record, some dude with long hair that’s leaving Callaway to sign with Puma/Cobra and who hangs with Bryson (who also now happens to be a major champion thanks to me) agrees with me. So PERIOD. PERIOD. End of discussion.

*considering making the US ProMiniGolf Association (USPMGA) Championship the 7th, but that is far too controversial at this time. Stay tuned.
