Hole 16 is where it starts! Matsuyama is able to drown out all the noise hence he's a back to back champ there, might have been 3 in a row if not for a wrist injury that derailed him on the 3rd year

Okay ... match play is the great equalizer as a player can blow up a hole and then go on to win the match.   Others will be playing with an eye towards Inverness and the Solheim Cup.

 

My Picks ... and we will see how close I come -- if at all!  

Where multiple names the first name mentioned is who I think will prevail, if not then the other names in descending order.

 

Group 1 - Anna Nordqvist

Group 2 - Inbee Park or Gaby Lopez

Group 3 - Brittany Altomare or SYK

Group 4 - Brooke Henderson or Ashleigh Buhai

 

Group 5 - Danielle Kang

Group 6 - Jenny Shin (her home course)

Group 7 -  Who knows!  Stacy or Patty ... but Sarah could just as easily!

Group 8 - Moriya Jutanugarn (hot play continues)

 

Group 9 - Tough group/top 3 are all solid picks ... But I think Mel Reid, then Hannah or Aza 

Group 10 - Nasa 

Group 11 - SYR or Miriam 

Group 12 - Amy Olson (another tough one ... all have something to prove for Solheim!)

 

Group 13 - Leona Maguire or Jennifer Kupcho

Group 14 - Shanshan Feng or Brittany Lincicome 

Group 15 - Sophia Popov or SH Park (SHP blows up big holes, but still makes lots of birdies)

Group 16 - Carlota Ciganda

 

Contrary to popular belief, I think that Group 7 , 9 and 12 will be dog fights.  

 

Regardless, we will see how the week progresses!

Inbee's group seems tough to me with Gabby and Celine. Two winners on tour and the co-mvp of 2019 Solheim.

One of the upsets; favorites lead six and underdogs lead six of the remaining matches.  Danielle, Jennifer and Brooke took no mercy; led by 3 or more after 4 to 6 holes.
