Only two more "opportunities" to hear Amanda Balionis.  It's as though she is trying to be excited, yet reserved at the same time.  She does not pull it off.

Jerry Foltz was also way off on an approach for Thompson.  "This should be really good also"....... as ball bounces off the back.

What's the story behind calling her "blades"?

https://www.nationalclubgolfer.com/news/charley-hull-golf-distance-debate/

I spoke with Charley's dad, Dave.

He told me that Charley thinks that golfers who play game improvement irons are kinda cheating.

Hmmmm...I'm a cheater...I play RocketBladez Tour irons.🤣.

Thanks.

I think that´s poor course desing.

In my home course long hitters noticed that they can cut similar way.

In second there was OB poles.

But of course now players use all advande what they can find.

Yes...many courses try to limit this practice with signage and internal OB...it's a dangerous way to play.....the course also want to limit liability issues....it's more common in tournament play.

A lot of trees have been removed at Inverness.

I don't know if this was done to create more air flow to produce better course conditions.

A bit, but also more to bring the course back to the original design.  A lot of clubs' greens committees in the post war era thought trees would be a nice addition.  And for a time they likely were. But between air flow, the fact trees always beat grass when it comes to water fights, and just the fact they weren't designed that way, there has been a big movement away from so many trees.

But I believe the Hinkle tree remains.

Agree.

But I don't think she'd be a good leader...too much of a *****.

I know Crusty isn’t too popular on this board but I would want her intensity on this team.

Whoever picked the music being played at the first tee… 🤮🤮

I don’t mind it haha, don’t usually play another fairway on purpose but sometimes it’s a nice surprise

I am having trouble figuring out why this is not on network TV today and only on the golf channel.  It's a rhetorical question I know why.  $$$$$.  But can you imagine the Ryder Cup going to cable only coverage for the Sunday singles?

That said I did attend yesterday.  The course looks amazing after they cut down basically all the trees  a couple of years ago.

I played it years ago and it seems much more hilly than I seem to remember.  It was a great time and feels more like a party atmosphere than a super serious competition.  Music playing loudly at the first tee.   I said to my brother "this feels more like what it should be which is a showcase for the best players to compete and try to grow the game"   Lots of young people there enjoying the day.  Only came across on obnoxious drunk but admittedly it was early in the day.

Wishing I had an avenue to watch today.  But cable doesn't get my money any more so no golf channel.

Because it’s Monday and the bold and beautiful is more important to American audiences

Listening to Pat Hurst interview on Sun evening...she said that poor little Grace's condition is life long???

Pat was very defensive in her interview....we didn't see the same in Matthew's interview.

I've never liked Pat.....I think Wie, SNaP and Creamer will be future SC captains in 6-10+ years....maybe even Gulbis???

that's what the "prognosis" is for now... of course there's always hope -- but for now, yes, it's for life based on what i read 😞

You were spot on until the end. The Henkel tree died. Bottom line is it is nearly impossible to have tons of trees and great turf conditions.

OK, I saw a shot of a plaque, but I was on the phone so had it muted.  Assumed it was still there.

Do you have an Instagram spreadsheet for all the LPGA pros?...just asking for a friend.🤣

So how many more Instagram followers did dragon slayer Canuck Leylah Fernandez pick up when she took down Osaka and Gerber?

Anecdotally, the Philippines are supporting her big time now!  She is starting to trend on some of their sites!  😆

I'm so happy I recorded it before heading out to play golf....what a comeback from Leylah.

I like Gerber too...class act to walk around the net and give Leylah some encouraging words on her win.

Osaka used to be my fav...but I don't care for her now.

I don't like Bianca but do like Bourchard.

I'm disappointed Shapo lost.

The Joker seems destined for a calendar slam.

Oh ya...can't believe Barty is gone too.
