Who needs the 10M$ FedEx Cup when you can have a 0$ Solheim Cup? What a final match!

Danielle Kang winning one hole playing her own ball over 36 holes is surprising.  Methinks she needs to focus on her game and less on the hype.  I have been looking for individual point records for this weekend and so far have not found it.

This.  Watching it, it just reeks of trying too hard.  It was one thing when out of the blue Watson was doing, it just kind of happened.  This here is like the marketers who see a good idea, and then just milk it death, killing any potential for it to remain as it is.

Sangstrom did nothing wrong. Korda did nothing wrong. Yesterday's controversy was caused by an incompetent Rules Official.

 

It's only controversial to two types of people: 1)media looking to push a story, and 2)those who believe an infraction didn't occur if no one saw it.  Sagstrom did do something wrong.  If Korda was uncomfortable it's her own fault.  It's not her fault Sagstrom doesn't know the rules.

Very well could be.  The point is, it wasn't an organized, *every single time* thing that had even the marshals in on it.

I agree.  It drives me nuts that even the marshalls are egging the crowd on.  And I wasn't trying to correct you about Watson or Weekley, just asking to see if I remembered correctly.

Sometimes YouTube TV has trouble with availability of the live recording the second broadcast when coverage bounces between networks. Yesterday's afternoon coverage on golf channel may be under Day 1, possibly the second version, along with the late night rebroadcast (3rd version).

I understand the role of the assigned referee, and so do Korda, Sagstrom, the rest of the team players, captains etc... The one who does not understand the role of the referee is Missy Jones.

judy rankin specifically said the rules referees  for this week were told to watch and step in and not wait for a player, as I loosely paraphrase.    So Missy performed exactly as instructed by the solheim cup directors.

Team Jelly has turned into Team Jellyfish. Jessica and Nelly both need to step up big time tomorrow. 

 

Team match play is just so unpredictable. Players who rarely show up on the leaderboard at a four day stroke play event can have a good approach or make a putt and steal the show.

Do you reckon fist pumps are silly and overrated too? They do that alot, even in normal tournaments.

You do keep digging don't you? Go get qualified somewhere and spend a few years as a referee. Then you'll appreciate what it means when it says in Committee Procedures:

 

When Assigned to One Match for Entire Round. As the referee is with the match throughout the round, he or she is responsible for acting on any breach of the Rules that he or she sees or is told about (see Rule 20.1b(1) and the definition of “referee ”).
