Hard to believe the Lexi and Danielle streak without a win continues. I wondered if the Kordas and Hall/Boutier could remain undefeated. Both nearly lost out of the gate.

 

Maybe it's time for the US to look into some other organizational models and talk to some other team building and behavioral specialists. I didn't think the US needed pods in '19. 

 

 

In hind sight Paul Azinger winning with the pod system may have done more harm than good in the long run

And finally, if you follow the second reasoning (conceding the putt and picking it up within 10 seconds equals denying opponent to make use of 10 second right equals loss of hole), does that than not mean that you always have to wait 10 seconds before conceding a putt, regardless of how far from the hole the ball is?

If a ball overhanging the hole is lifted or moved before the waiting time under Rule 13.3a has ended, the ball is treated as having come to rest:

If the opponent in match play or another player in stroke play deliberately lifts or moves the player’s ball overhanging the hole before the waiting time has ended:
    •    In match play, the player’s ball is treated as holed with the previous stroke, and there is no penalty to the opponent under Rule 11.2b.

Nelly has fallen apart and the rest of the team seems to be following her lead. I would have set her down today. Nobody is assuming a leadership role for the US  through their play.

The ball is overhanging the hole.

 

I think the issue here is some people think overhanging means, "ball right on the lip."

 

The rule is, "If any part of a player’s ball overhangs the lip of the hole."

 

It's not a lot, but a part of the ball is intersecting a cylinder projected up from the hole. We can agree that the ball isn't going to drop in ten seconds, or an hour. But that's not the rule.

Pairing Anna with rookies is definitely the way to go, obvious of course but still, some captains may opt not doing so for whatever reason... 

 

Either way, it's on the players... and clearly, Europeans are playing much better than most of the Americans.
