I'm happy for you, sad for me, just crappy and not justified - our premier (= governor) is a keen golfer so is doing the hair shirt thing so he can't be accused of any personal bias. Not justified though, like when someone who coaches their own kids and treats them harsher than their team mates to avoid any accusation of favouritism from the other parents.

That's pathetic you can't golf.

 

And many thought it was outrageous when they would not allow courses to open up until mid June in Ontario here.

It’s just me or the golf channel never shows the leaderboard and never shows the result of the match after they finish the hole, so you have no idea of the situation?

It they either waited 10 sec before touching the ball or better yet just leave the fu#king ball alone.

 

They could have just conceded verbally.

 

Good thing she is just a golfer cause if she made a brain fart like that as a surgeon someone could have died.

 

BTW I think the officials made the right call.

Another beautiful day at Inverness. When I arrived I purchased the "ear worm" radio to keep up. First up: I hear Kaye Cockerill talking about how "someone was sent home" and then how it was Matilda's caddy as she had a new one. Uggh. No idea why...covid? This was all before tee off. 

Couldn't stay all day due to traveling with poodle but after today, we know we need to go early again tomorrow. Fantastic crowds. Merch Tent is low on inventory. WHAT? What my friends purchased on Wed. is no  longer available.  So proud of Matilda/Anna partnership.  🇫🇮 Go USA!!

1. Was Nelly mad that she did it? I thought I saw her look unhappy when she saw Sagstrom pick it up.

2. Is the opponent in a match play allowed to negate the official’s decision? Has a team ever conceded the next hole because they didn’t like the official’s call?

1) If it was Covid...wouldn't anyone who had contact with the loop also have to leave the course too?

 

2) Wow...that's crazy talk that the merchandise tent now has low inventory...good for them.

Nelly was squatting in disapointment -- she knew that she left the eagle putt out there when it was makeable.  She was not thinking of waiting for it to fall.  In an interview afterwards, she said that neither she nor Ally complained to the rules officials.  It was made by the Rules Official for the group on the spot.

It's odd how some controversy always happens at the Solheim Cup. Makes it interesting and draws attention to it though.

In response to missing the putt . . . not because she ever thought it was going in or should be allowed to "hang" there.   It was never going in without outside assistance.  The centre of gravity on the ball was about an inch away from the edge and was slightly downhill from the hole.  

 

No, Nelly was okay with it being picked up, you did not see her question anything when it was tossed to her.  It was Ally Ewing that jumped all over it and she is most likely the one that complained to Missy, the Rules Official.  At 0:29 seconds of the clip that @JungleJimbo posted further up this thread, you can see Ally standing right behind Missy, listening in.   

 

Now, the balance of probabilities is such that if she was not a party to any "complaint" as both she and Nelly states in the post round interview, then how did she know to hang behind the Rules Official as she explained it to the European team?   She wouldn't have stuck around if she didn't know what was going on.  

 

The real problem is that Madelene never should have picked it up, even though it was not going in.  She should have said to Nelly that we concede the next putt . . . do you want your ball?

To me it seemed like Nelly was mad only after the ball was picked up. “What the F” is not something you say when you miss a putt, it’s something you say when you think someone wronged you.
