Adidas Golf 2022

Any ideas in regards to when the ZG 23 will drop? When did the ZG 21 drop? Will it be end of this year or early next?

The ZG21 initially dropped in January 2021.

 

The ZG23 is listed in the 2023 Spring/Summer catalog and not in the 2022 Fall/Winter catalog, so probably January 2023 at the earliest.

Adidas shoes are dead to me. They can go shove their Code Chaos shoes right up where the sun don't shine.

So, what did I do? I liked them so much, I went and bought a new 2021 pair right after that post, thinking "new year, new design, gotta be better" and last night ... I notice....

 

 

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I cannot recommend ANYONE buying these shoes for the price they charge. Warranty in US is 6 months. Canada 2 years. I don't live in CA so I"m SOL. I can only get the word to you all... don't do it. 

 

Comfy? Very. Durable? NOT IN THE LEAST. I didn't even get a year out of these this time.

Trust me when I say Adidas Canada is not any better.  They considered that as "normal wear and tear".

So I ended up buying the Adidas S2Gs and wore them for 27 holes. The exposed sharp leather/pleather tongue rubbed against my legs and have bleeding there using low socks. Won't expect anything different than using mid socks. They felt soft in the store, felt great to tell you the truth. But I think it's all just from friction/rubbing. So... yep. Done.

I think they look great, but like the Jordan 1 low golfs, these are going to rough on the feet walking a full 18.

Ok personal crisis: I’m a Nike guy… strongly considering the codechaos BOA. I saw some of you had them in all white, wondering how hard they are to keep clean, white mesh can’t be easy to keep clean and must trap mud and dirt. 
 

I’ve been struggling to find shoes that are comfortable enough. My Nike air maxs look decent but are sort of stiff. My cole haans are great but the colors are too out there to daily. My g4s are heavy, and the leaves it pick up are infuriating. 
 

came across the CC22 and think they might be the best looking shoes I’ve seen. Tried the CC21 on at the outlet and the felt amazing. Just super worried about the whites looking like trash after 3 weeks. 
 

That and the fact that all my other stuff is Nike and I hate a brand mashup. 
 

is adidas boost as comfy as they say?

I think the code chaos are really comfy.  I don’t have the this years model but previous code chaos I can’t fault.  
 

I’ve gone off the tour 360 boost because of how comfy and how well the code chaos and zg21 performed.

 

re the white, yeh, they are hard to keep clean as they arrive brand new.  Same for every brand.

Yeah that’s fair regarding the color. That’s why I like my g4s. The white leather wipes clean very easily. 
 

the white mesh is going to get nasty but what the hell. I think I gotta just jump in

I have the ZG's, Code Chaos and Solarthon's and I just spray them with Simple Green and toss in the washer.  

 

I've done this with every pair at least a dozen times with no issues.

 

They come out looking brand new every time.

I bought a pair of the waterproof ZG21's (white with blue & black trim) on Amazon a couple weeks ago for $109. Initial thoughts were that these feel like very "stable" shoes during the swing, even more so than my favorite pre-2022 Tour 360's. Unfortunately they absolutely murdered the backs of my ankles bloody during the first two rounds I walked with them, way worse than typical Tour 360 break-in. Big blood spots on my socks and went through a few band-aids. Also got a small blister on the side of one ankle but that irritation only seemed to happen during the first round. Third and fourth rounds still irritated the backs of my ankles but not as bad. I played my 5th walking around in them this morning and the ankle slicing is pretty much done so I guess they are broken in now. 

 

These shoes are extremely easy to clean after the round, the sides of the soles are not boost material so no issues with cleaning them.

 

I still prefer my pre-2022 Tour 360's and fortunately have a couple of lightly used pair in rotation plus a new unused pair on the shelf. I have a feeling these ZG21's are the next best thing I am going to get new from Adidas, the 2022 360's with the non-replaceable spikes don't appeal to me at all and didn't feel comfortable when tried on in a store. Now that the ZG21's are broken in, I really like the feel and stability, but that break-in period is a bi*ch.

 

UPDATE 12/8: Amazon now has this colorway available in some sizes for $89.

Has anybody tried the Solarmotions? I'd love to hear some thoughts, and especially a comparison to CodeChaos or Solarthon?
