Just started watching yesterday's coverage off the DVR, LOL'd pretty hard at the 2nd mention of Brittany Henderson being off to attend a wedding not even 15 minutes in.  Hoping to hit a trifecta given how much time is left in the broadcast.

Would make for a good drinking game.

It's funny how commentary gets stuck on certain aspects.

"21 year old Jordan Speith" comes to mind.

So Yeon's run of 14 sub-60 rounds spanned the 2016 and 2017 season.

She also had a couple of 10 round runs.

Another one.

Is your memory that good that you'd know these SYR stats off the top of your head?

Or did you do some more research.

Again....I don't think you're a SYR fanboys to follow her stats that closely.

I can't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday....or today.

I suppose so, but SYR has been a leading ambassador for the LPGA for much of the past decade and such a classy individual.

Do you remember?

Years ago when NYC and SYR were playing well...they'd sometimes be dew sweeping vs. being in the feature group pairings.

They were mistreated.

If I was NYC & SYR's agent....I'd be LIVID....and actually would have called Whan to say so.

There was...maybe still is....a guy named Sean???....I think a Korean...who was/is a LPGA director in charge of Asia International Affairs/Business Development???....he should have noticed this and don't something behind the scene to put an end to this.

No question SYR is a class act.

In 2012....I played a tournament and chatted with a guy at dinner.

He played in the 2012 CWO pro-am.

There was a pro-am draw party on Tues evening.

His company was drawn late....many of the "popular" pros had been chosen.

SYR was still available...so they chose her.

He told me they couldn't have been happier to choose SYR for the pro-am and would do it again.

His young daughter participated in a CWO jr. clinic that week.

He said Creamer was a b****.....I'm not surprised.

FWIW...at the 2015 CWO...I was surprised to see how popular Hyo Joo Kim was with the Korean fans...she had a bigger following than Inbee.

Everyone was expecting HJK to be the 2015 ROY....Sei Young flew under the radar to win ROY.

SYK missed a 6 foot putt on the 72nd hole to miss out in the playoff...Lydia vs. Stacy.

I'm so HAPPY Lydia won.

Didn't enjoy the coverage on the weekend, something seemed off......I know what it was - no Brittany Henderson. As she normally gets the most coverage of anyone on the course, its no wonder.

I think the LPGA missed a trick here - they should have had coverage of the wedding that Brittany was attending in Lake Nona and cut across to that instead of covering the interminable 2 minutes that Brooke, Lexi etc take in lining up all their putts.

A few of the players that trunk slammed have residences in Lake Nona, don't they? Could have scored them invites to the wedding and you would have seen a greater variety of golfers there than playing the tournament.

Brittany could have taken one of Brooke's bags with her and used a flagstick to point out undulations down the aisle so that the bride didn't trip up.

LMAO

It's so hilarious how the Mericans FAWN over the Entitled Canadian Princess and have adopted her as one of their own.

It's quite curious....... as I don't think Brooke was a teacher's pet of Smiley Mike.

Looks like B Squared can't be bothered to fly to Busan.

Yeah, with the cancellation of the majority of the Asian swing, and the fact that the top players have a lock on their tour championship entry, the field strength will be wanting.

For that very reason, I thought the LPGA pros would take advantage of the LET event in New York and it would be loaded a few did but not many.

The BMW player cancellations will be interesting to see; seeing that it is the only LPGA event between now and the Pelican in a month's time (then the CME), players will have a difficult choice about how best they prepare.

Go to Korea for one event? Stay home and rest and/or practice?

By the time of 2018, Whan's thoughts had changed significantly.   He spoke in an interview (I believe it was TSN that produced the telecast that year for the CPWO), that the LPGA Tour would be in a terrific spot if more of his players were like Brooke ... in terms of her willingness to attend media briefings, interviews, attend junior golf events, etc.  Indirectly, he was throwing a bit of shade at his American players, even if it was unintended.

1) Smiley Mike will say anything to PUT HIMSELF in the spotlight...just ask 18majors.

2) Hmmmm.....how soon we forget....Brooke declined to do a post rd when she GAGGED late in the match to lose to Gillman at the 2014 US Women's Am......Dave was mad.....can't do that when you're shilling for endorsements.🤣

In another WRX thread...when a member says he's never seen a woman do hissy fit RAGE or get mad playing golf ... @rooski posts a video of Brooke SLAMMING & BREAKING her wedge at Kemper Lakes.....I think it's Bob Weeks who makes fun of her...at Temper Lakes....lol.

3) Crusty Kerr????🤣

I remember listening in on Stupples and Cornwell chatting by the range at Sahalee in 2016...they were b*tching about a pro declining an interview...they never disclosed who it was....DRAMA.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

I could be bothered to fly to Busan but my wallet has other ideas.

Guess I'll have to settle for hoping for TV coverage or at least something on YouTube.  How else am I going to learn about up and coming KLPGA pros?

C'mon now . . . Point 1) -- you really don't care, but disingeniously seek a back door ally in 18 Majors -- you're just having a little fun with that . . .  but also, Mike was in an interview that was attended by all of the media so it was no secret.

2) . . . in 2014, Brooke was a 14-year old teenager.  No qualms about her being hurt and stung by it . . . I would not judge any 14 year old by not being able to or willing to participate in an interview.

On so many initiatives, Brooke is called upon more often than not and more than nearly any other LPGA player to attend media events, show up at Girls Golf, First Tee, junior golf initiatives.  I say that having attended many of the media events and it is safe to say that she is consistently the most well attended player in those media events on Media days . . . only Nelly recently has matched Brooke for attendance in those media events.   And I specifically am referring to the MEdia days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

So if Smiley Mike loved Brooke so much.....will Mollie invoke (local rule) this new announcement to harm the Canadian Princess?

I don't think there's another LPGA who plays a 48" driver shaft.

IMO...this announcement is a non-issue in the grand scheme of golf.

I don't know anyone or have played golf with anyone who plays a 48" driver shaft.

Since the summer of 2020...I've been gripping down on my driver shaft about 3/4"....resulting in better feel and control of the club head...better ball strikes leading to better dispersion and ball speed on average.

I'm also gripping down a bit on my 4W and hybrids too.

Gulbis and Anthony Kim used to grip down on many clubs. Lydia also grips down on many shots too.

Big question, isn't it!  We will see how the LPGA handles it!  Brooke is the only player that I know of that plays with the 48" driver.  I suspect that they will leave it for the LPGA . . . Brooke practically turns her 48" driver into a 46" driver when we factor in how far she chokes up/down on the grip!

As noted in another WRX thread....the USGA has too much time on it's hands...Smiley Mike inherited this NONSENSE and wanted to bury it under the rug.

It's not even a Rule of Golf....just a local rule if a committee wants to engage it...it's just STUPID.

Besides...Mollie isn't that stupid to invoke it....she knows that if she did...Dave would have a few men in dark suits pay a visit to her house while she's sleeping.🤣

I guess those dark suits from Hamilton have their pipes (from the steel factories of steeltown) ready and on the way....

LPGA plans to adopt local rule that limits driver length, which means Brooke Henderson will need to make a change

I was fortunate to land a summer job at Dofasco in 1980 & 1981....I was not rehired in 1982 because of a poor economy.

Ya can't be a Pansy Boy growing up in The Hammer....especially the East End of town.

I grew up in The West End...grade 4 to 13.

If I lived in NJ....the event I'd most want to attend is the Crump Cup on the final day when the public can access Pine Valley....I believe admission is free.

Many great men's events in NJ area to attend.

We get minimal good golf (pro/Am) to watch in the PNW.

Yes Crump cup is free to attend BUT you can't park on course. So you have to pay $20 for bus ride to the course. You had to park in the local ball fields for years. Now that the Amusement park is closed you park down the street, 1.5mi away to get the buse.

Event is a fundraiser for local kids sports. The food sold during the tournament is also part of the fundraiser.

FWIW, pine valley is now remerging back into clementon.

The leaderboard shows the tournament suspended with several players still playing their 1st rounds. Was there a weather delay late yesterday that carried over into today?

Thurs & Fri had fog delays for 2hr and 2h35min. You couldn't see beyond a wedge shot for most of the morning.

pic is 100ft across pond @2nd to driving range after most of the fog had cleared.

Love the course. Hate the planes from the adjacent airport. Gotta find a new venue next year. Irritating AF.

That is the Essex Co airport off the right of 1st tee and 9th green.

Sorry players loved the course even w/ the planes some definitely were low enough to hit. None of really seemed bothered by it.

Apparently per members no one has ever done it.

Plans are for 2nd wk of May 2022 unless 3rd week gets switched. Yes that is the other week before Shop Rite in Seaview.

Other change is due to ANA probably being moved to Spring in April/ May per LPGA.
