I think it’s the new stock cover for the ST line.

I spun the Z a little more than I would have liked, but it was super forgiving.  When I talked to the rep and he told me my wait times for even "stock" offerings I decided to re-shaft my current driver and it has been great.

 

I will re-visit the ST-Z in the future but once supply chains normalize back out.

I have mint ST-Z 220 and ST-Z 3 and 5 wood going on the BST shortly.

 

Going to stick with the ST-G 220 and Stealth Plus fairways.

It boggles my mind that OEMs still ship with them.

Well after demoing all the new drivers from this year it seemed on the simulator and on the driving range that is Mizuno Z to 20 was the most forgiving straightest driver of the bunch. As far as ball speed was concerned it was generally about the same as all the others may be the cobra was 1 mile an hour faster.

 

One theme that seems consistent here and may have also been true in my case is that it does spin a little bit more perhaps. I am in Canada and I have bought it from Golftown retailer and at the time there was very little stock and I bought it with the tensei AV Raw blue shaft .  The only other shaft they had in stock was the Aldiss ascend which I think would be higher launching and higher spinning.

 

is there any point in trying to find an RDX blue model which might knock the spin down a little bit? On a GC to simulator using my camera srixon ball I was getting lunch and goals between 12 and 14 and spin rates were typically between 23 and 2700.

my driver swing speed tends to be between 100 and 103 miles an hour though I am going to try to work on speed training. Realistically without going to an up charge or custom shaft how much lower spin would any of the other stock options potentially give me I am curious to see if it is worth pursuing or just stick with this since it seems to be a fairway machine?

Would going up to tensi Blue XFlex bring the spin down? I am in the same boat. Got the Tensi Blue stiff. Looking to drop the spin a bit and thinking of picking up a xflex for this. My driver swing speed is slightly higher at 108 to 112

With that SS you should probably be in a X flex anyway unless you are super smooth. Tensei blue is also a mid spin shaft. If tou want to kill spin I’d try the Tensei white in X.

I have the 9º STZ-220 with the RDX Blue in 60 6.0 and I am not seeing as much ball speed (same 100-103 mph club head speed) as with the Stealth+ I have.  I turned it down as far is it would go and still can't break into the 150's in ball speed.  Spin was between the 2100-2500 rpm range.  It's forgiving, but seems to be missing some pop

I tried the Blue because I could use some more height. I tend to hit a lower driver. Not a smooth transition really. I did see on the plugged in review of the blue that he actually had lower spin numbers with the blue vs the white. 
I currently have the Orange Xflex in my 425LST and it works great. Might have to WRX buy one and try it out lol

First round with it today. Was just as long as my cubes and very forgiving. On great hits maybe the stealth is longer but averaging good and bad hits I don't think it will be and certainly is nowhere near as forgiving.

It is strange how different shafts can react to different swings. But that’s the fun of experiments! Best of luck finding the right one for ya! It is out there! Maybe Ventus blue or red?

I don’t think I can handle an extra stiff flex. I just got out and played my first round with this driver yesterday and while I don’t know what the spin was like on the course I never saw any golf lights that seem to spin up despite being into the wind. I was every bit as long as I have been with any driver I have hit but I was much straighter. I think this driver is a winner!

Will throw out that Speeder NX and ventus TR are both awesome shafts with the STZ. Think I prefer the feel of the speeder, but both really pair up nicely

Checking in to see if you guys are still loving this club. I have a G425 LST and love it when I catch it but can be a little unforgiving when accuracy matters. Don’t love the sound either, but that’s minor. Looking at the ST-Z 220 with RDX black 6.0 or blue 6.5. Swing speed is around 108-110.
