PXG TD Driver Gen5?

Noticed this on the conforming drivers list. I don't recall seeing it before. Available in 9, 10.5 with similar characteristics of the Gen4 drivers:

 

SOLE: (weight port), AV CARBON FIBER TECH, (PXG logo), (P in triangle), (weight port), TD, (weight port) TOE: (PXG logo) CROWN: (X alignment mark), (PXG logo) HOSEL: (dot) HEEL: (loft) FACE:HS TI 412 Face

Nice find!  Man, PXG is churning products out just like everyone else now.

really like where they positioned the weights here. PXG Proto was the best driver ive hit in a long time. Upgraded to Gen4 but I actually preferred the Proto with the 4 weight slots. I didnt like Gen4 not having the toe weight

what did you like about it? I’ve tried many recent drivers but still have more confident with a g400 max than anything else. Someone said that one of the recent PXG’s has Ping Max style forgiveness but might be able to bring my spin down a touch.

While I'm interested in seeing it, I'm more interested in seeing if I can find those 10 extra yards PXG seems to be behind the Callaway and TM offerings, in my hands.  I have no complaints on PXG's dispersion in their drivers, my issue is I just hit Callaway and TM drivers longer, spec'd that same.

Driver heads are all different, the same shaft may not work the same in different heads. #Fitting101

I want to make a crack about triple diamond. But I won’t. But I have to ask what does TD stand for ? 
 

as a side note. Which pxg driver has the most  muted sound ?

Gonna guess its the "Tour Driver" as it looks like the XT from the bottom IMO. Also, Protos drivers are more muted than Gen4 drivers, but neither line is loud at all.

Gotcha.  I like a more muted thwack sound vs a ting if that makes sense ?

Late to the party here but... I hit my 0811 XT at night in my basement when the kids are sleeping and they don't budge. I tried that once with My G410 LST and the kids thought the fire alarm was going off and cried appropriately.

I hope they clean up the iron look for the Gen 5 iron.  No more huge gaudy bolts.

They need to just move everything to look like the 0211ST in some form or another.

 

 

The first company that comes out with a Player Distance and GI line that looks like a blade finish should crush it.  Titleist got close w/ the T200 but the plastic cap on the back is hideous.  Mizuno knocked it out of the park w/ the 225, the MP-20 HMP was a solid triple in their previous at bat.

I don't think the back of their clubs is hindering sales. They're doing fine! Just a silly personal preference by some. I like the current looks.

Exactly right!  0211ST is their best looking iron by far and I’m sure with their technology they could apply this same look across the line.  Wishful thinking…

That's what originally drove me to PXG irons. Love the look with the black screws and the milled backing. Played every set since the day they came out. Great feel, forgiveness and TO ME the best iron out there.

Yeah, I don’t mind the little screws but the huge bolt in the center looks cheap imho.

imo, the Gen 4 low spin model was very muted compared to my G425 lst.

I do agree though, the Gen 4 sounded wonderful.

They added "(Version 1)" to the title on the conforming list. Looks like they're fine tuning the driver for the Pros. Hopefully it will be released later this year.

TD does not have release date as of yet. The Gen5 drivers will be releasing soon.
