2022 Scotty Cameron Phantom Lineup

My local PGASS had a ‘’used” 5.5 behind the glass yesterday. I asked to hit a few putts with it and couldn’t let it go. It still had all of the plastic on the club head and still looked new. It did have a new Flatso grip on it which is fine for me. I’ve never been a huge fan of Scotty grips. I’m not thrilled with the Velcro on the headcover though. That will only last a year.

 

Ive tried multiple times to knock my Spider S out of the bag and always fail. I’m not a fan of the looks, but I hole everything with it. Hopefully this will be the one.

Why would you ever look to replace a putter you hole everything with??

Manufacturers do not like questions about this subject. 🤐
 

Best/automatic 4 wood I ever hit was an old Cleveland Launcher back in the day… bagged it for a month. Replaced with a sonartec that was way harder to hit. Freely admit it makes no sense. Doesn’t seem to slow us down much…
 

So my Circle H 5.5 with a gray matador mid came in yesterday apparently. Three weeks, that was faster than anticipated. Will pick it up probably Tuesday.

I still go through rough patches with my Spider S. It’s good to have something else to look at when I go through these rough patches.

sent my 7 in to the custom shop couple weeks ago. anticipated completion is 6/23. I noticed they extended the custom shop orders from 20 to 30 days. such a long wait! hopefully they finish it earlier.

While it’s in there, the CT Paddle grip can be yours for a measly $150… I must be mental because I actually called to get specs on it. 
Probably need to step back from this till my sense returns.

 Can you get the CT paddle on a Non-CT putter??

Yeah, just send it in and pony up the $150.00 apparently. I was told to request the grip in the notes and they would call for my CC info. I was just curious- not gonna do this any time soon. I saw one sell for over $400 on eBay so someone is nuts out there. 
IMO bummer it’s only the blue, lime, or black colorway -  White would be cool. 
I think there is a “normal” midsize and a longer jumbo from the images I saw. Maybe a wrist lock grip. Anyway - he said the midsize is basically a 2.0 size grip. I forgot to ask about weight.

Loving my Phantom 5.5. I’ve always wanted one and never got a chance to get a prior gen since I could never find one. I couldn’t get over the insert on the Spider Hydroblast. I felt like my distance control was all over. 
 

I ordered a Circle H at 35.5 so it would have the 15 gram weights the 34 in stock putter has but to where I could cut it down to 34.5 in and it have play at the weight I wanted. I also installed a Pistolini in red with 3 wraps and it’s closer to a Pistolini Plus.

 I found a new ‘21,  33” Phantom 5.5 at my local shop a few weeks back. Really liking it so far.

I’m enjoying it because I get the SC milled face and feeling along with stability of something like a spider.

Funny, I dumped the x9 and I am in a 34” circle H 5.5 - turns out I have more arc than I thought. My miss was left. (Rightie)

I just rolled one. Pre-2022 lineup I came from a futura 5s. It’s solid, carries the mid-mill firmness into a center shaft (futura was really soft) and is a 💯 worthy successor - but doesn’t work for me any more

...unless I want to miss left from the 10’ zone.

Played 18 on Wednesday and the putter (5.5) performed great. If I could only get adjusted to the speed of the greens! 32 putts total, which is usual for me but wasn’t ever close enough to the hole like I would have liked.

Yeah, I’m going back to a Newport. I have no feel with a mallet. This putter is mint if anyone is interested in a 34.5 inch 5.5 2022 model. I’ll include the stock pistolero plus grip as well.

What are you having done to your 7?

 

The 7 is the best club purchase I have made in a long time. I found myself stopping at the range to practice only putting. Never have I ever done that, but this has brought joy back into putting and I am making more putts. Hoping for the worlds longest honeymoon.

paint full on the back and updated the paint fill on the face from black to light gray. Also got the dancing cord added to it and a new cover. 

later added the stability shaft myself on it and bought heavier weights on eBay. Love it!

Thanks, and sweet putter and great pics! I like the stock silver dots, but if I had to pick a color it would be blue. Anything but red! Sounds like you have it dialed in....

Well someone got their mitts on a pretty cool one already this am. Stole my whole concept *almost* and now if I do it I’m a copycat 😝

I’ve only wanted a JJ headcover since oh… 2010… now that I’m heel shafted I can finally get the cool stuff.

I’m kinda surprised the moto stuff uses leftover 2021 mallets though.

Got to try the 5S today while traveling. Very nice feel and balance, reminded me of the old GoLo 5S – not the head shape of course.
 

I’m not a Scotty player, but I would game this one. It’s much better IMO than Futura 5S or the X 6STR (or whatever that was).

You can only get the ct grips if it’s a tour putter
