Currently I watch Good Good ( and most of the individual guys channels), Rick Shiels, and Bob Does Sports? Does anyone like any other channels? I have seen Peter Finch but I liked Sheils a bit better.

I find instruction videos, simulator golf, and gear reviews to be unwatchable, so that really limits who I'm willing to follow.

I'll throw out a recommendation for Dan Hendricksen's channel.

Mostly course vlogs but they tend to play interesting/quirky UK/France courses and they are generally pretty good players on his channel. The banter is usually pretty good too.

I like the Good Good guys because they can straight up play and it’s the closest I get to good players these days.

I like the Barstool Videos when they play a scramble against a pro but they’re way too much the “bro golfer” vibe for me to handle on a regular basis.

I’ll watch Rick Shiels when it’s something cool like Nick Faldo or Lee Westwood, but I’m not interested in club reviews and most of his stuff is very click baity.

TXG is awesome for tech.

Not a fan of Good Good. It is less to do with them, but more to do with I'm just older than their targeted audience.

Youtube golf influencers really took off during COVID. Nowadays, it seems most of influencers/Youtubers have similar style/format/"proven winning formula", so it's harder to differentiate. Hence, I just watch less YouTube golf contents.

A few contents I usually like to watch

  • Whenever folks play with pro. Rich Shiels did it, Barstool guys did it. At least, I feel I learned something. In general, I just like watch how pro (mini tour player to major tour player) approach the game.
  • TXG used to be very good. Not sure if it is busy season for them, the content feels weak lately.

I like Zac Radford and when some of the others mentioned do course Vlogs.  My problem with Good Good is that guy Matt, just can’t stand him, but if he was gone, I would watch them more.  For club reviews, usually just watch TXG, but sometimes I will watch others to see if there is a dissenting opinion.

Thats why I watch GM Golf alot is because he isn't on there. I can't deny his golf skill but is personality is a bit too over the top

Good Good, Bob does sports, Golf Mates, and Crossfield are the main ones I watch. Occasionally Finch or Shiels if the video looks interesting, Matt Fryer as well on occasion. And TXG. Used to watch Golfholics quite a bit but they haven't been posting much the last couple years.

Vote for BryanBros here. I really enjoy the matches he plays with his brother. I find it fascinating what happens when a really good player (George) plays a PGA tour winner (Wesley). It's just everything that Wesley does a little bit better and over a 9 hole match it adds up. Those two and Will Miles are in my experience the best standard of golf on youtube too. I quite enjoy the Good Good stuff too. Micah Garrett and Grant are all pretty good players. I can certainly understand why people don't much like Matt - he can be a little much sometimes, but I just let it wash over me and carry on. I prefer the times when they're playing properly though. The stuff where Garrett and Grant play matches against tour players are great fun.

Any of the Kiz videos with Barstool
Good Good and their associated individual channels

Zac Radford

Basically all the stuff everyone has said here. I'm a little at the upper end I feel of the Good Good target audience, but some of their more pure golf videos are entertaining and they (mostly, sorry Steve) have serious game. The challenge videos I could usually do without

Being just over 50 I’m not the target audience for any of these channels but I enjoy Good Good the most because they’re good kids, enjoy golf, and aren’t in your face.

Always been a fan of the many golf pros on YT. I currently watch quite a few including:

*  Rick Shiels

*  Peter Finch

*  Marc Crossfield and Coach Lockey

*  Golfholics (but it looks like that channel may have died)

*  Chris Ryan

*  Dan Hendrickson

*  Wisdom in Golf

*  James Robinson

*  Ali Taylor

*  Mike Newton

*  Danny Maude

I'm sure I'm missing a few but those are all pretty good sites.  Depends on what you are looking for - teaching, club reviews or vlogs.

I'm shocked that shee golf's or Claire hogle haven't shown up on anyone lists!

Always followed sheils and finch.  Prefer Finch now.

Txg was better with Matty.  Mattys channel is good

Alex etches is great.  Guy bombs it and is really funny.

Like good good but can't stand Steve.  The guy flips out way too much.  Bubble seems like a great guy.

Also like Danny maude, Clay Ballard and athletic motion golf for tips.  Their pros vs ams series is great.

These are my favorites, ranked within their categories from best to good.

General:
Golf Sidekick - It used to be mental game stuff/philosophy and I credit it with helping me break 100. It's kind of morphing into course log stuff. https://www.youtube.com/c/GolfSidekick
Not A Perfect Golfer - Just a random guy from Wales that VLOGs his rounds. He's been working his way from a 30 hcp down to the teens and it's just soothing to watch.
Random Golf Club Films - Mentioned above, some really high production stuff and also a fair amount of filler mixed in. If you're not an Erik Anders Lang fan this isn't for you.
DP World Tour - Good content, I still follow despite the ridiculous name change.

Club Reviews and Technical:
Rick Shiels Golf - Charismatic swiss army knife of golf YouTubers, I watch every episode and listen to every podcast.
MrShortGameGolf - Infectious personality, short videos, mostly instruction but some product review and country club VLOGs. This is the only golf channel my wife asks to watch.
Mark Crossfield - Entertaining, sponsored by Srixon/Cleveland but fairly objective, hates TaylorMade which pisses those people off. Very level headed and honest about advances in product tech. Channel is in decline, however.
TXG Tour Experience Golf - These guys are highly technical, like, really technical. Thorough and well done product examination.

Instruction:
Free Online Golf - Pete Styles. This is the basis for all of my self-instruction and are the videos from the tutorials on their site. Silly name but the total package is done really well.
Golf Distillery - Also Pete Styles, same as above just different branding. GD has some higher concepts.
Danny Maude - Watch when I need something specific, very good communicator.
Jay Roberts Golf - Very entertaining rules explainers.

Stuff I've tried and unsubscribed from:
Stacked Golf, great concept (they go to Florida garage sales and thrift stores looking for used club deals) but the guy bothers me. Wife is cute.
Peter Finch, I just don't get him. The concepts are good but the demeanor just doesn't click for me. Does a bunch of stuff in Dubai which I don't care for.
Matt Fryer, really wanted to like him but the pacing of the videos is painfully slow. Just spit it out, Matt.
Bryson DeChambeau, works hard, loves the game, but it's just not entertaining for more than a few minutes even if you're getting a more transparent look at one of golf's most polarizing figures.
James Robinson Golf, too much 'bro' for me.
Barstool, I watched their Breaking 100 series with the fat guy but the rest of the channel looks terribad.
PGA Tour, meh....

As a caveat, when I say 'Instruction' I don't recommend watching a bunch of Youtube videos and trying random stuff. I just use these resources to help clarify concepts that I work on with my real-life swing coach.

I don't watch too much of the influencer stuff, I mainly watch YT for DFS purposes, golf gear reviews and some instruction here and there (just to see what others are saying, maybe not to implement it).  So often it's just random stuff that I'll click on.  Do like the Bryan Bros stuff and the occasional gear review from TXG (not recently, they've changed quite a bit), 2nd Swing, etc.

That being said, I can't believe nobody mentioned Paddy Harrington? His instruction channel is pretty cool, with insights into how he did things....and he's 'old school', so will often say "I was taught this way, but nowadays it's done like this..."

The fact that there is only one vote for No Laying Up in this thread is depressing. Their content, to me, is so far and away superior to what many others are doing it is almost unbelievable.

I tend to agree. NLU is very professional. The channel is visually stunning as they seem to invest heavily in drone footage. Their Tourist Sauce series' is also very informative and enjoyable to watch. You feel like it could be on The Travel Channel or something. And the gang are obviously very nice and laid back. They seem like a stand-up group of guys.

TBH, I find the majority of golf YouTubers to be middling, low-handicaps who quite frankly, just aren't qualified to have a career swinging a golf club. The equipment guys are not engineers so they don't know much. They're basically forum posters who gave up that life and are looking for a paycheck talking to their cameras. TXG has done the best of anyone but they are basically a fitting company with a large online presence.

The guys shooting 78 and doing course vlogs or general tip stuff don't have the insights of a Professional. They're just your average golf bum. My Club has a million guys who can shoot 78. Clay Ballard seems like a good instructor. He's an exception for me. AMG is also good but I don't watch much of it these days.

It's getting to the point where if it's not a professional golfer, I'm not interested. The one exception would be Club Pro Guy who's glorious.

Look at someone like Genevieve Ling who got off the ground after some appearances on Matt Waddaplayazinski's Golf Sidekick channel. While Gen's videos aren't extravagant she's a better player than everyone else listed above which in my eyes makes her more interesting and credible if only for the insights of how often players of her caliber struggle chasing the dream and what type of person (and sacrifices) it requires. I find that more interesting these days as those people are at least seeking something extraordinary.

I tend to seek out people who are playing (or who did play) at a higher level than myself which means + indexes, college golfers and actual Professionals. I find their stories to be the most worthwhile.

Well George Bryan just shot -5 in his US Open local qualifier to get through to sectionals and his brother has won a PGA tour event and just shot -8 yesterday to Monday Q into the Byron Nelson, so I'm not sure I agree with that statement.
