Makes sense that he is looking at a 2 iron. The ball was running so far there yesterday that, I would not be surprised if some guys take 3 wood from their bags. Have a driver in there to go forever and then a 2 iron to run out as far as their 3 wood anyway.

I think Ventus Black 10TX... pretty sure in some other WITB post where he carries a driving iron, he games that rebar lol

That is what I was going to guess as well, but Getty Images knows all, looks like his old HZRDUS Black 105g. Still rebar though, hah.

That shaft is rebar, lol. Surprise he didn’t stick with the ventus like he had in his 3i. The ventus is so good in an iron

UDI is definitely more forgiving. Not that that’s a big concern for him. Perhaps just makes him feel that he can really go after it??? Obviously just speculation. 🤷🏼‍♂️

On paper the current 770 has the MOI/Forgiveness of a blade, it's a really demanding club. Not that that is an issue for Rory, but over the last several years he has favored something more forgiving than his set irons in the long iron spot, and the 770 actually has a markedly lower MOI than his P730s, which themselves are actually quite high MOI for a blade. Not sure if that is completely the reason why, but it fits.

1K White specifically. He's been fiddling with that 3w spot for ages it seems. He was in the Pro White since M3, then kept coming back to the OG SIM after trying the SIM2 and Stealth+ while switching from the Pro White to the Ventus Black and now back to a Pro White, the 1K version. Be curious to hear what he's searching for.

Lord, look at where the PX logo is relative to his grip end... that thing HAS to be stout AF.

Actually, the further down the logo is to the clubhead can be an indication it’s been tipped. Logo closer to the grip might mean less tipping, hence being softer. That shaft is still STOUT. No doubt.

I have one of these shafts in my garage.. Plus the RDX version. the old school hand crafted is way stiffer.

Correct. I have a 105g HZRDUS Red that is tipped an inch playing at 39.75", so assuming Rory is playing his 2i at or around the stock 39.75" then his appears untipped as the grip on mine sits about in inch above the HC logo.
