I ordered Saturday morning, they shipped Sunday morning, and just landed this evening (Bay Area).

I see. I ordered on Saturday morning as well but didn’t get shipped until today. I do see that they originate out of Oakland so that helps your ship time. Jealous.

Mine are scheduled to arrive Friday. (Here in Texas)

@wantacigar great find and kudos to @AZGolfNut2for getting the call out. In that video he complains about the $500 price tag saying that you can get other really great clubs for less money but he is completely missing the point that people that are buying these clubs do not want or even would know how to start piecing together custom clubs. Most golfers just buy their clubs off the rack and many times without even hitting them. A seven club set for $500 is an amazing deal. if you got some P790s they are at least $1400.

On the Xiame Jasde/Justin, SMT websites they say perimeter weighted, thin faced, etc. but no mention of Tungsten or Forged.  Unless, of course, I missed it.  LOL

Very possible.  If the design from SCDC had different specs and used that company to manufacture the heads then it's very possible that they may look very similar.  Then again the "P790" look is very popular among similar players distance irons and that just may be a coincidence that it looks like the SMT.

Yeah he should have done a comparison to the assembled price (rather than heads) of the SMT579 4-PW irons, which comes in at about $420 with comparable True Temper shafts.

as you may know, we could easily be fooled by the word, "forged".   It could be forged face which is highly likely.

Can't say for certain, but even if one is forged and the other is not they could still be made using the same open-foundry design. When a brand comes in and say "I want this design", they then have that design customized with their own engraved logo/wording (in this case "Tungsten", "Forged", and Kirkland"). And then they can also choose what material to make the heads out of, what type of process (forging vs casting, for example), what type of filler to put inside the head, etc, etc, etc. So while the design may still be very much identical, they may be made entirely different.

Costco also makes no mention of them being forged, but there it is right there on the club. While "tungsten" is a popular buzzword it doesn't add much to the perceived value/quality of the club, although I do find it extremely odd that they left "forged" out of ALL of their marketing materials and website descriptions. That is definitely something that should be mentioned! It's also worth pointing out that most likely only the FACE is forged, while the body is cast stainless steel. No telling if the SMT/Justin face is forged since it isn't mentioned anywhere.

It's possible. Or it's also possible that they used the same design but then tweaked it to their liking. I'll know once I have them in hand side by side with the SMT's.

Exactly. Look at the complex shape of the inside of the head, no way the entire thing is forged. Costco's website also says it has a "stainless steel" body, and stainless steel is (almost) never used when forging iron heads.

Looks like the Justin irons definitely are forged (or at least have a forged face), it says Forged right in the title. And I know for a fact that the SMT 579 irons are the Justin irons since Xiamen Jasde makes all of the SMT/Sub70/Diamond Tour heads. So one could safely assume the SMT 579 irons also have a forged face, even though it's not mentioned in the product details (nor is it mentioned in the Kirkland irons details). The SMT website says they have a 455 Carpenter Steel face, but 455 steel can certainly be forged - and it can also be cast. Soo.... 🤷‍♂️

Exactly as I suspected, there is on their website. It has a cast 431 body with a 455 forged steel face. Just like the SMT579, most likely just like the Kirklands.
