When I am looking for new irons, the look at address is extremely important too me.  If it has too thick a topline, too much offset, too high toe, etc. it gets rejected without a swing.  No reason to hit a club I will never buy.

i can see your point.  I too probably wont buy but will try to see what all the hype is about.

Truthfully, nobody on this forum should even consider these, or any off the rack set.  You must be custom fitted for TOTL clubs or removed from the forum.

If I bought these clubs, I would have to change out the shafts, mess around the swingweight, then put new grips on.

Admittedly I've not searched through all of the tread to see if its been mentioned, but do we know who or whom the gear hear is within Costco that is responsible for spearheading these more advanced golf offerings???

It's very cool to see and they should be given some sort of WRX ring of honor plaque!

1k on ebay already....crazy......just get 6-9 in any make/model you and add a vokey pw off ebay for half that, your choice of shafts too.  1k for costco clubs standard LLL Grip shaft....

I wonder if people are actually paying that? Sort of defeats the whole purpose though, the thing that makes them good is that they are cheap.

Since release there have been 7 sales on eBay.com for the irons. Cheapest set sold for an offer under the original asking price of 850 USD and the highest was for 950 USD.

Here is what people are actually paying! I imagine some of those buyers are content creators who missed out on the launch, and want to pick up a set to review for social media.

Pure insanity, you can or almost get a last years model new for that, you can a used set of P790s for that or really a ton of other lightly used sets for that.

I think a lot of people are buying them for the novelty of it. I know that's why I bought a set; I play single length irons so I don't plan to use them, but I want to put together an all-Kirkland but including the driver once that drops. I already have the irons, wedges, putter, gloves, and balls!

same thing that happened with the original four piece golf balls. I remember many sold for more than double what people paid for new Pro v1’s

I get that people have a preferred look for their clubs but to completely reject a club because of the looks is silly. Especially if you already bought the clubs and can return them used and still get all of your money back. Why not try them if you’ve already got them? Doesn’t make sense to me.

i agree if the club matches what your description of performance is (workability, forgiveness, or distance). I disagree in that i wont hit club in the same category if i dont like the look of one vs another. Its a mental thing for me. The larger and thicker the clubface, the better chance i have in missing the sweet spot. I believe in the aim small, miss small mantra. I also believe that, for me, there are better performing clubs if i could mentally get around that. But if i doubt myself at address, its a deal breaker.

Why are you prince and the pea types even looking at Kirkland irons?  Go to Club Champion, pay $200 for a launch monitor fitting, and leave the Costco clubs to those without such an anal approach to golf club purchases.

Kirkland clubs are for guys that are not crazy picky.  Funny thing, when I was young, I was crazy picky.  With age, I got over it, though, and glad I did.

i want a kirkland bag? Lol i love kirkland. I want them because they’re kirkland! I would’ve bought them - at least attempted to - at launch. But cash is low considering my expenses in the last few months and the next few months (one of which is bandon in jan). Ill wait for the irons for another day.  I have balls, gloves, new wedges, putter, putter weight kit, still have 6 dz og 4 pc, a trucker style hat with Kirkland signature on it - i bought as i learned of the irons and driver, sweats, hoody. 😂 im a kirkland shill to the fullest.

I was the same way until they changed the frozen pepperoni pizza. It's really bad now.

Agreed, the pepperoni pizza isn't good at all anymore, but those irons look real nice!!

@Nessism was directing his question at the guys who bought a set of the irons and are returning them without ever hitting them. They don’t like the looks/profile of them. If a person is that picky about how their clubs look, why bother buying them in the first place? I guess there’s a chance that they could have been more blade style than players distance but those odds were slim.

A friend of mine just bought the driver.  Absolute perfect example of the customer for these clubs.  Knows absolutely nothing about golf clubs, or tech, or shafts, or lofts, or balls.  But he bought it because it's new and "it must be better than what I have now" but he couldn't remember what driver he has now.  Or what shaft is in it, or the loft.

15-30 handicap Costco eye candy.

I hope Costco sells out of these too, good for them for knowing their market.

That's a huge segment of the market 15-30 cappers. Plus $199 makes the oems look a little greedy😄.
