Did Rory give reason as to why he isnt playing this week? The first elevated event of the year and he's missing it after getting purses raised and agreeing with the rest of the top players that they need to all be playing at the same tournaments....

The top players are allowed to skip one of the elevated tournaments.  Small field and big purse wouldn't be the one I'd skip but maybe he doesn't like the course???

Not for me because I have no interest in watching it. And most of my friends feel the same way. I think people who think that are in the minority.

Everything is the same as last year. Minus the bag and clothes. Possibility of a TSR2 driver making its way in the bag.

He played a lot at the back end of last year after the fedex ended, including the DP world finals. I believe he likes a bit of time off over christmas and new year to make up for it.

The Paradymn drivers still have the matte feel with topline face/front of crown and hosel area having a matte area. Now that official pictures are out go take a look at them as opposed to bad amature photos. Also check it out in person before you write it off. Its a very nice looking driver in person...

Yup, although I can’t imagine he changed too much if anything. He sticks with what he knows.

Yeah, that’s how I know Cantlay’s not on WRX.

 

I’ve only had my AP2 714’s since the end of the season and I feel like I have a time-bomb in my bag every time I login to WRX! 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting…I know he has been testing some new stuff. Will be interesting to see if/when that stuff makes it in. Something to keep an eye on.

Those 714's though! Love my T100's but wish that I had kept a hold of my 714's.

I enjoy the new T100 in my 3 iron, even more so than the T200 utility that I had before it. I tried the 714's and thought they were ok, but the topline and lack of offset is superior in the new T100's I think. It's all subjective though!

Yeah, I just picked up my AP2 714's in September, so didn't get to use them that many times before the end of the season.

 

The early results were very good though for sure. Love the look, loved the feel, and loved the consistency. They felt like some of the best irons I have ever hit (and I've owned some very good ones with the '14 TM Tour Preferred MC/MB, '17 TM P770, and Srixon ZX7 being my other favorites).

 

I just feel a lot of internal pressure as a Club Ho to buy new Irons since they are 2014 clubs, but the reality is that I haven't really given them enough time and they seem like awesome clubs.

 

I agree that each person's preferences and likes are subjective though for sure. For me I'm actually not a big fan of the look of the '21 T100/T100s or T200. For my eye the T100 top line and sole are too thin and blade like, and I'm not crazy about the design/look of the backs either. And for the T200 I'm not a big fan of the plastic cover Titleist put on the backs.

 

For my 2023 bag it will probably come down to either my AP2 714's, the new Srixon ZX7 MKII's, or the new '23 TM P770's. We'll see...time will tell.

As long as he has hung on to the AP2's, his bigger changes may only be in Driver/Woods in the near future.
