No idea which players have been practicing, and which have been slacking off since the end of last season...

 

No Rory Mcilroy in the field, but I might have chosen him if he was playing...

No defending champion in Cameron Smith since PGA Tour banned him for going to LIV, otherwise I might have chosen him...

No Dustin Johnson (like Smith a winner last year - on LIV-, and banned by PGA Tour (who won at this course in the past I think)...

No other LIV players...

 

Maybe Victor Hovland...

Maybe John Rahm...

 

Maybe a non-winner on tour last year that is in the Tournament of Champions field?

Maybe Adam Scott...

Should be lots of new 2023 equipment in play also which will be awesome to see as well!

I'll go with Xander.  Seems to always play well there.

This course plays relatively short due to elevation changes so the greens and wind are its protection. Those who have putted best are typically in the hunt.

Pardon my ignorance but I thought only winners of tour events last year were in this field?

The Tour changed the requirements to include the 30 players that made the FedEx Cup finale, even if they didn't win.

I always thought this event would make the perfect PGA/LPGA mixed event.  Smaller invite field, slightly hit and giggle feeling to it.  Get the previous year's winners from both tours, and have a fun event to kick off the year.

No thanks.  I’ve never understood the novelty of a mixed event other than to raise money for women’s golf. I certainly don’t have any interest and don’t personally know anyone that would.

All the women's sports simps are always pushing this because the LPGA can't carry their own weight.

TM has used a matte finish on the carbon portion of the crown for the past four releases: M5, SIM, SIM2, and Stealth. Looks like they just inverted the matte/gloss portions with Stealth2.

Not something that I am generally prone to saying but from an aesthetics points of view, the new Taylor Made stuff looks pretty cool! The colour scheme of the staff bag is sweet.

Yeah I thought about that after I posted. Should’ve just said callaway
