Right? Like ever since SLDR, Callaway and TM have found a way always bring the heat and this year just feels like both of the took a chance on the "refined look" and it was a total whiff.

Whiff???  It is the best looking driver since the Mavrik they have made.

No LS or S?  The standard triple diamond in Rogue ST was higher spin more draw biased than the LS.   But in the Rogue ST they decided that the higher spin head was tour only while they sold the LS head to the public.

So which version is this?

There is no LS model this year. 3 retail heads. Standard, X (draw bias), triple diamond.

What a weird post

Usually commenting on the success of a golf club solely based off of looking at a picture on the internet is considered a weird post.

I tend to find very little about the looks of this driver appealing based on the photos, but it isn't terrible looking either. I think if they did away with the blue finish for more of a matte black carbon, it would look pretty nice.

I don't mean to sound like a hater but this Cally driver to me just looks goofy

It just looks like a Ladies driver to me...and it's named like one as well. I know it's not, but that's my immediate thought every time I see a pic.

Depends if you can feel it or not.  Matsuyama used white out or paint that could be felt on the club face.  As long as it can't be felt it's allowed, which a regular sharpie can't.  Though the rule states it can't change the performance of the ball.  Who is going to test spin numbers with a Sharpied out face to let us know?

great call out.  I was thinking the same thing but nice call.

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

I wonder what weight the silver weight in the back of the head of his driver is...

Looks like the gold weight in the front is a 4 gram weight.

Is there actually a need for an LS or an S in the current models. If you read the details (on Callaway's, or another website) they explain why they went with less models this year, how certain features were absorbed into other models, and where each player type fits into the new model types.

I find it funny when people write off new models of clubs because it doesn't have the stamped letters of an old model, and those people haven't tried any of the new models.

It is hilarious because my 17 year old thinks it is hideous.

Maybe we can find some common ground about the looks this way: Everybody thinks the headcovers are ugly, right? I mean, whose idea was it to go glossy?!

I agree they did the smart thing in consolidating models. I wasn’t writing off anything.

I was just wondering which triple diamond that was. It turns out it’s the one that was the 3D LS in the last generation. The standard 3D in the last generation was tour only and spins more.

Haven't they only made 1 driver since the Mavrik?  Lol

Mavrik was 3 drivers ago.

Can't blame him for thinking Epic Flash & Epic Speed were part of the same line, lol.

I'm really surprised they can come out with tour-specific heads but that they can't simply fabricate a head with the lines on the face to Xander's specs. The fact that he's doing sharpie just seems like a Mickey Mouse operation to me

This release reminds me a lot of JDM woods.  Simple crown designs and very straight forward.  I kind of like that.  However, I also think the rogue st line was one of their best looking line of woods since 815/816.

Will be fun to test for sure.  My local shop just received their demo heads.  My fitter told me they sound pretty amazing and he’s Titleist guy through and through.

I want to apologize.  This driver looks like a turd in hand.  Absolutely the ugliest driver I have ever seen.  It is a retro 80's brown bowling ball.
