I was pulling for FAU because here in WNC there are a good many obnoxious Vols fans. I want to be able to say to them, so you beat Duke and were flexing away and then the next week you lose to No.9 FAU. A little let down no?  😅

At the end of the game? Possibly even probably. Was Gonzaga also lucky to turn a 13 point halftime deficit to a 10 point lead with a couple minutes to go?  Doubt it. UCLA coughed up a gigantic hairball to go from the halftime lead to being that far behind with 2:20 to go. Full props to UCLA for that comeback at the end though.

 

Had UCLA played with that urgency at the start of the 2nd half UCLA would never have been in that position to end the game. No field goals for nearly 12 minutes? More Gonzaga luck? Nah. Drew Timme took over. Zag's 6-2 all time against the Bruins. 3-1 in both the NCAA and non-conference schedule. Lucky right? 😂

 

FWIW not a fan of either school. Just offering a different perspective.

Yeah, but when UCLA goes over 10min in the 2nd half w/o a field goal… With two big time impact players out injured, a short handed UCLA just started running out of gas. All things considered it was impressive they were in it at the end. What I will agree was lucky… That Zags 3 from the LOGO! Sheesh, what ya gonna do 🤷🏼‍♂️ Drew Timme is Gonzaga. Respect.
