I feel bad - the Euro/Oz/whoever else non-American coverage has been woeful, no idea about what has happened re the finish in the last hour outside this thread.

I can’t recall seeing so many short putts missed in a pro golf event.  Greens looked slick and tricky plus the wind but it’s kinda baffling.

Initially seemed like this Cup had all the makings of a KPMG Analytics promotion.  Now can imagine one potential takeaway to read:

 

“analytics can get/keep you in the game, but in the end, the outcome still comes down to the human factor of grit, passion, and momentum.” 

 

Sure it was officially a TIE, but in the end, you have to defeat the reigning champion to assume the title. Just like a draw in boxing, all you can do is run it back next time around.

Weird and exciting final day marred by terrible TV coverage with so many shots just not shown. Apparently before coming back to win, Ciganda shanked to lose her lead. No footage. For the first hour they only seemed to have cameras on hole 1. Really odd. Whoever produced this mess should never be allowed to cover golf again. 

 

Overall as a Euro fan, I'll take a tie happily after the first session disaster. Hedwall, Stark, Maguire and Ciganda all immense today. Thought we'd blown it when Hall didn't win tbh. Roll on next week!

Yeah agree with pretty much all of that. Even from the opening ceremony which was very poorly organized and presented the coverage was terrible. I will take a tie after day 1, but I think it was one that got away in end today for us euros...  LG would take Khang most days, she didn't quite today however, Charley was bad again, Boutier was bad again and Georgia seemed to bottle it!  But when all said and done it's over and we can now get back to normal life! 😃.  Looking forward to end of season now... what's next??

I find it tough to be disappointed in the team as a whole, disappointed in a few  players who were probably expected to step it up, yes I am.

Just looking at Nelly, her par 5 performance when playing her own ball really cost her. She had no birdies on the 5’s in the Saturday Fourball and 2 pars and a bogey today. In both matches, she did not make it to the final par 5 (#18). There are three par 5’s in the first 8 holes and this is why she was behind in those matches. This also shows ball striking was also a problem, at least on those holes. You know going into a match you need to birdie those holes, likely to just to tie.

That's odd. I went there before coming here an hour ago and they had a couple of articles plus the leaderboard, and enough blue and white on the page to figure out who won.
