and I‘m surprised how many people are defending the plastic back of the T200. Sorry, but to me golf is - to a certain degree - about aesthetics and this piece of plastic just doesn’t live up to that (just the looks, the performance is spot on)

I had this myself. I actually hit T100-S FARTHER than T200 on the golf course from what I can only imagine was turf interaction. I tend to sometimes sweep behind the ball before making contact and I'm assuming the T200 was just sticking in the turf more. Now indoors off mats, T200 was a tad longer, which is why it was so confusing on the golf course to me. I also didn't try T100-S on the course for the longest time because I didn't think I could handle them. Again, not sure what it is about them, but they just work really well for me--turf interaction, trajectory window, distance, spin, control, etc. It's a really good iron that checks all the boxes for me.

 

And I certainly understand the knock on the T200 plastic back. I've got a T200 4i and had two sets of T200s pretty soon after they came out and while I didn't have any issues with them, they certainly aren't as aesthetically pleasing as the T100/T100-S. Excited to see what Titleist does with the next iteration.

Unfortunately don’t expect any discounts on the current model.  Titliest doesn’t normally do that when a new model is released.

I ordered a set in March and it took 8 weeks for delivery, originally promised for 2-3 weeks. Now I have a set that will be replaced by a new model year within a few months. If I had known, I probably would have waited.☹️

Correct, tour seeding starting around that week. Doubt the actual release isn't until fall or following the typical release pattern for Titleist.

Staff pros get fit end of June, I have heard normal folks end of Aug with a Sept delivery.

Sidenote. I apologize for derailing thread a bit. 

 

As we're discussing Titleist irons, does anyone find a tendency for more fliers from rough with them then other brands. 

In my case with MB

I just got fit on May 19 with T300, and I am fine with the current model (I doubt the new ones will be all that different). 

 

Fubuki MV IR senior flex.  I knew that I have lost swing speed, but that was a surprise.  On the other hand, they felt easy.

I was told from a solid source this weekend to be expecting them 6 weeks earlier than usual.

I believe Titleist usually starts the tour seeding of their new products at the Traveler's Championship (Week after the US Open).  That's when I'm expecting to see photo's of the new irons.  I'm interested to see if there will be new T Series & Forged Series, or just one or the other.

I do feel like they may make the topline slighter thicker on the T150s to make them a little less intimidating, but what do I know.

I pray to the golf gods they don’t. That’s what the T200s/T300s are for 😉. The T100/T100s top line is a thing of beauty with forgiveness.

Couldn’t disagree more. He wasn’t saying they have to change t100. He said t150. The goal would be to create an iron that bridges the gap between t200 and t100. They could use something like that in their line up. Even if it isn’t for you.

I'd be surprised if that happens - unlike Titleist to change so quickly. Then again, the current naming convention makes it hard to keep track sometimes (same for e.g. Apex or 790). I prefered the AP2 line, with 710, 712 etc. More clear cut.

When they came out with the AP3 which slotted between the AP1 and AP2 but was numbered out of sequence it really threw a lot of people off knowing what fit where. 

 

So a T150 would fit nicely if it's truly a bridge between T100 and T200 or they could use the opportunity to go to new naming convention.   They only kept TS and TSi for one cycle each right?   TSeries is on it's 2nd cycle as of now.
