Gunna be a tough sell paying 350 for a club with wilson on it, but man this is a nice looking putter. Really want to roll one and see how it feels and whether they will offer a weight kit because i havent seen anything about different weights being available.

This Wilson line was designed by Clay Long, who's Clay Long? He's got a long resume and designed the Macgregor Response putter among many other things.

 

So these should be quality for sure with someone like that designing them.

Rolled the Wilson Staff putters in PGA Tour SS the other day. 

 

Initial thoughts were they felt fantastic, looked solid, didn't love the stock grip. With that said, I just don't know if they will do well at their current price point, <$300 or right around there would have been better for sales than the $349 currently. Just my two cents

The shape looks really nice. Removable weights, fully milled.  I do think wilson should alter their font and symbol. It's so old school and could use a revamp. Truthfully if this was released by another OEM it would sell for even higher.

I've rolled these in the store, very nice but a real hard sell at this price point.  Hogan made a similarly nice line of putters recently that didn't sell much.

Not really taking sides on this but the Ping bumpers from behind are not always the nicest for some, at address pretty much the same. But you have people complaining about the sole or hosel even if they don't affect the putting in any way.

PLD Anser is one of the best shaped Anser/Newport style heads I’ve ever seen. And I have just about every single Scotty Newport shape he’s ever made.

It's definitely not ugly, I do prefer their Dale Anser a bit more but if someone gave me a custom PLD Anser I wouldn't say no I'd probably play it a ton to be honest. 

 

Again I say this a lot in golf that beauty is in the eye of the beholder which seems to be true a lot.

I have to agree with Matt on the above...I think the Wilson has more appealing bumpers, they are softened more.  I really like PING putters and think the PLD is nice too. 

 

Wilson has lost me with their graphics and alignment.

Grade 303 stainless steel is similar to grade 304 stainless, but with sulfur added to help increase machinability while maintaining both corrosion resistance and mechanical elements that are associated with stainless steel

It also says 303 may be slightly more expensive. Seems like something completely unimportant to a putter.

Hey guys, first time posting, but i love this forum and i love this putter so i really do feel the need to express my thoughts on this putter:

First, background, ive currently got the ping anser pld 2, ive had the scotty cameron newport special select 2, ive also got the taylormade TP soto (with the insert).

I think the wilson, to me personally is one of the best feeling blade putters. I love the ping pld also, but i feel its just a tad bit too soft, and the scotty was pretty good, but way more firmer than the PLD for obvious reasons. I feel the wilson is like a perfect balance of the softness of the PLD, but also the firm and responsiveness of the scotty if that makes any sense? because its made of 304ss which is innately softer than 303ss, it feels soft in the middle, but because of its shallow milling it feels responsive enough to where i know ive hit it too hard, or off center etc. 

TLDR: I love this putter, i got it on sale for 370 New Zealand Dollars, which is nothing short of insanity for a putter of this quality (for reference, new scottys are 850-900 NZD, and toulons are about 850 NZD), and i recommend people to give this putter a real go. its beautiful in the bag and feels beautiful too.

people won’t buy them though just because of the brand and it’s a shame. 
 

when they inevitably go on sale they will probably be the steal of the decade under $200 for these heads.

I don't know about this one specifically but I bought the 8802 and it's my favorite putter I've had in about 15 years... and I've had a lot of them.
