Pro V1 Left Dash with slightly more greenside spin?

What would be a ball that’d y’all would recommend that is like a Pro V1 Left Dash that has a little more greenside spin?

 

I spin a regular Pro V1 back way too much. AVX doesn’t spin enough to check a ball around a green.

Vice Pro Plus. The Snell MTB-X is great too, but no longer made, and I haven't tried the new Snell Prime. The Srixon Z star XV might suit you too.

I’m going to buy a dozen of the Vice Pro Plus and see how they perform. Hopefully I won’t rip them off greens,

Srixon XV, CS X LS, Tour BX, TP5X, Vice Pro Plus, and Maxfli Tour X would all be good options to try. Left Dash is a VERY hard high compression ball with very low spin. Almost no Tour pro’s play it because of that. For me, the Tour BX is as king or longer than anything else, but gives me very good control off the irons, great spin inside 100yds, but doesn’t feel as hard as the others I listed.

Have you tried the tour BX? Great off the driver. Medium spin off irons/full wedges, good greenside spin.

The Srixon XV is a ball that spins like crazy for me around the greens on partial shots from all kinds of lies.  I don't play that ball regularly but have on occasion and it always surprises me around the greens.

No sir. I have not. I’ve played some older Bridgestone X versions but spun the, too much on the green from fairway so I’ve haven’t played any recently

Quick update…

 

Vice Pro Plus did exactly what I wanted them to do. Long enough off the box without a lot of spin but held the greens well. I could only spin them back a yard or two. I tried to spin them back even more and I really couldn’t.

 

It could be my new ball for 2023. Thank you for all the suggestions. If these don’t work them I will try the Callaway X LS.

The CSX LS did this exact same thing for me. Actually even better than the LD in wind performance. My only issue with the CSX LS ball is durability. I tried them when they released in 2021 and they were harder and even worse durability. Now they have all the boxes checked and slightly better on the durability side but still not up to the level of the Titleist. I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the Vice in this area.

I actually prefer the 1st gen CSX LS over the current one.  It was very firm and super low spin.  A lot of golfers were complaining about the lack of spin, but c'mon, that's what the ball was designed to do.  The current one definitely has more green side spin which didn't sit well with my game.  I thought durability with both gens were fine.  Currently gaming the Z-Star XV and Vice Pro Plus and am very happy with both.  I still have 2 boxes of left dash which I will eventually get to sometime this year.

I’m playing in a scramble on Monday. I should be able to wear a few balls out then and report back.

 

I really like the Left Dash. I like its durability and length. I just wish it had a little more green side spin.

 

I’ll know more about the Vice Pro Plus after Monday.

Played the Vice Pro Plus, Callaway Chrome Soft X LS and Left Dash today in a scramble.

 

Left Dash is the longest followed by the CSX LS and then the Pro Plus. The CSX LS held the line best in a cross wind. Pretty cool how it holds the line.

 

Pro Plus spun more than the CSX LS which spun more than the Left Dash. Pro Plus reminds me of a Pro V1 with a touch less spin.

 

also, the Pro Plus in Lime Green is the easiest ball to find anywhere on the course…and I’m colorblind!

 

I think that the CSX LS is going to be my ball the rest of the year.

Man do I wish there was such a thing. They go like rockets off my woods and hybrids not slowing down on the greens, only to be found 30 yards over. However, the rocket is lost with added spin. You can’t have both at the same time.

Left dash is a great ball if you spin the ball like crazy.  Higher ss golfers fit into this category.  I found the left dash to have enough spin for me across the board and my ss is 118.  I do tend to spin the ball quite a bit though.  Have you tried the Vice Pro Plus, CSX LS, Z-Star XV, TP5X or Tour B X.  I found them all to be low spin with driver but higher spin with irons compared to left dash.

This though I feel the vice pro plus is more akin to prov1x very high spin, and I have no experience with the maxfli.

I play the Pro Plus and didn't find it be similar to the V1x.  Pro Plus launched lower and spun less for me.  I'm guessing it's because we have different deliveries into the ball.
