Mine arrived today.

Took the plastic off to give it a run against the V-Line White Hot Pro.  JB is very nice but I prefer the White Hot insert so hoping my order for the White Hot ships sooner than the estimated 10/4 - 10/10 estimate currently showing on my order.

Putted with the microhinge in the basement for a bit and it feels pretty nice but different enough from the White Hot that I know I would not play the MH long term.

what is it about the MH? Did you find it was too soft compared to your WH?

Just a different feel.  It’s hard to explain but I have always ended up back with a White Hot insert even after having good success with Scotty Cameron putters or other Odyssey putters over the past 20 years or so.

I am an equipment junkie so I like to actually try everything I buy as I have been surprised over the years as to one club or another performing for me.

MH is soft feeling and the ball seems to roll well but I guess putting is a lot about feel and confidence in the putter in your hands.

I like the head shape, length is a bit long and I have extra Off-the-truck Superstroke grips to try on the JB White Hot when it arrives.

I play my V-Line at 33.5” so I’m guessing that I’ll end up in the 36”-37” with the JB White Hot.

It will be a fun experiment once I have it in hand.

Spent the afternoon with the MH and I think it could kick out my Tank WH.  I have the WH version coming too and I can’t wait to see how that one performs.  Originally, I thought it was going to be WH for me all day long based on what I’ve been playing.  Now, I’m not so sure.

Got mine today and it’s a huge winner.  Normally I don’t like big grips but this feels good.  Head weight feels perfect and MH is nice and crisp.  Overall the putter is very balanced.  Standard specs fit me like a glove at 6’1.5”.  Thank you for bringing this putter to market Cally!

I like the grip too!  Actually ordered a separate one to put on my tank since that one is about done now.

Just got back from the putting green.  First counterbalanced so a bit of a learning curve.  Not the most beautiful shape compared to some of my milled putters; very effective visually though.  By the end got the hang of it some.  Going straight in the bag for this weekend.  Will bring my OG 7s also should we need backup.

Wonder how many new owners are going to roll their new putters on carpet ... In plastic, of course ... figure out their new putter won't work, and decide to sell immediately. For a slight profit, of course.

Spent an hour with mine on the putting green.  Biggest adjustment was ball position… crazy from 15’ in.. long lags will take some time. I tried not to pay attention to the length, just gripped down and played my normal stroke. Going to be hard to get this out of the bag once I spend more time with it. Will take some time as far as the feel, super soft. Can’t argue with results but will see after the honeymoon stage wears off.  Transitioning from this from a traditional will take some time.  For me at least as good as my 2 yr gamer, time will tell but very happy as of now. I’m surprised I’m willing to game it after an hour. Not a magic wand, but it certainly is confidence inspiring for me. Maybe some truth to the hype for me at least. Just lots to get used to from looking at its looks in the bag to using it on the greens, hopefully worth it and not going to happen overnight but promising nonetheless.  Good luck!!

Not as many who'll like it on carpet or after an hour and then go miss everything during a round and realize CB is not for them.

I’m going to list mine today. Not going to gouge just want to break even. I wanted to try the putter out. As I’m not on Tour at the moment, no other way to do that but buy and try.

Once you get it all honed in, I think you’re going to love it.  For me, it’s just reading the putt correctly now since I know my stroke with this thing is $$$

My Jailbird arrived yesterday, rolled it inside a bit. CB will take some time to adjust, putter feels surprisingly balanced and not crazy heavy like some older Cameron counterbalanced putters of 10 years ago.

MH insert is different, I’m currently in an OG 7 CH. but overall nice smooth feel off the putter, ball seems to hug the ground, beautiful roll.

also, the stability is very impressive. Glad I picked one up. I ordered 38’’ which seems to fit perfectly. I’m 5’11”

Would cutting the JB down to say 36” and using a Superstroke grip with a Countercore weight option mimic the counterbalance of the 39” with the 17” grip?

I really like the head shape but I am thinking that I will shorten my JB White Hot when it arrives as I just ordered it stock at 39”.

I did not care for the stock 39” length with my Microhinge version.

You can certainly cut it down. You'll just have to get weight right.

Yes, you can play with the weights to get a similar feel in a different length.  Howard's driver fitting thread has some tips about putter fitting.

Yes I agree, it will take some testing to find the right balance. I would check swing and overall weight prior to modifying. That way you have some targets to back into

For those who have removed the grip, is the CB weight removable??

There isn’t a CB weight on these, the extra length of the grip works to counter balance it

Good point.  I use a Superstroke Zenergy Tour 2.0 with a 25g countercore weight in my V-Line so I am used to a counterbalanced putter and the reason for my original question.

I may just try cutting it down to 36” with my preferred grip and then try different weights in the grip to see what it feels like.

The JB WH doesn’t ship for me for another month so just looking at options for what it arrives as I can tell the stock 39” length will not work based on my time with the Microhinge version.
