Didn't sm9 come out this year? Titleist is a 2 year cycle.

Vokey has launched new cycles to retail in the spring of even numbered years since the SM5 in 2014 (generally media launch in January with product at retailers/shipping in March).

The SM9 launched in 2022 so a replacement is expected spring 2024.

Should see them in January- however, I'd not wait and get the rtx 6's instead

I went from sm8's, sm9's and Bettinardi HLX wedges to RTX 6's and have to say they are game changers. I personally just bought some t150s and wanted to geek out and go all Titleist bag then bought a 48 degree RTX6 and it was money and the 52/56/60 have now completed my bag. I will have to say they are on the lighter side if that is not something you are looking it only took a couple of rounds and was easy to adjust to. I can't remember the last set of wedges I've had that are this easy to consistently toss darts at the pin and stop on a dime. Like ajmag14 said...why wait.

Ive played clevelands for about a decade now. played vokeys- (maybe sm7?) for maybe 5 rounds and they were terrible. the spin is incredible on the rtx6's, just can drop them anywhere. I don't mind the t150's. while they're a far cry from my zx7's or the new apex's in terms of feel, they are the best of the four new titleist irons. Any way, why wait just to pay for another overrated wedge to just say vokey on it. Side note- the mg4's perform well, but i feel like I'm golfing with a meat tenderizer for a wedge. Absolutely zero feel to them

I have no evidence to support my suspicion but I bet they drop the L grind from the line and replace it entirely with the T grind. It was a late release to the line and I feel like so few people order the L grind.

I hope they add the V to the starting lineup.

That would be sweet but I feel they already can get those wedge players to pay an extra $50ish for the Wedgeworks option.

I mean the SMX are not going to be that big of difference than the SM9s or even the SM8s

The last big difference in Vokey wedges have been

2010 groove rule change

SM4 new grooves and narrow sloes (honestly wish they went back to the narrow soles)

SM5 wider soles and bigger grind options

SM6 weight distribution based on PW/GW versus, SW, versus LW

SM7 same as SM6

SM8 got rid of weight distribution system

SM9 same as SM8

In all reality the sole grinds have been pretty much the same since SM5 ... so the wedges haven't changed that much

A return to the legendary oil can finish would be well received.

I’d love it but it’s no different than the Raw wedgeworks after a few months.

When I started playing again for the first time since childhood, I was gifted a brushed steel 56⁰ SM4. It got a bad chip on the sole so I bought chrome SM5's and followed up with chrome SM6's. I now play chrome Cleveland RTX Zipcores with RTX 6 Raw's on the way. Cleveland wedges just feel better to me and Titleist is my favorite brand. I will say that SM4 was amazing, I felt I could hit the ball close from everywhere around the green and I'm not sure why the 5 and 6 didn't quite feel that way.

I liked the SM5’s a lot. I felt they were a little larger than previous offerings and I hit a lot of really good chips and pitches with my 56F

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
