Bounce is Your Friend on Partial Wedge Shots and Engaging the Turf Prior to the Ball is a Good Thing When Hitting Them

I appreciate the effort. On thing to consider on a mat is that if you changed nothing and just hit it early you can get away with a early leading edge strike. Obviously not outdoors. Appears you may have done that and just caught it higher on the face. Would be helpful to see the club a few feet post impact.

Dunno about the goal post moving. All I can show is inside short shots. Clearly every video I've posted you can see the snow outside LOL

Both strikes were great. This is “changed nothing and just caught it higher on the face”

Gotcha again seeing the club post impact would help. I will hit a couple in FL.  I think the backyard we have is actually pretty big. That is what I mean by break even though. The variance gets really big with leading edge face contact and spin. I'd keep trying it, took me a little while.

On the club thing though what I mean is if you took a still of me hitting a ball first 54* from lets say 70yard versus bounce, the release pattern or whatever ppl call it won't look the same.

Thats why I posted the video and slo-mos of me tipping the club and the head falling and just transmitting it to impact. Intentions change.

Sean124- Also be mindful that things are happening on arcs and bends. Getting your mind to consciously map out where you are starting and going relative to ground impact and where the ball lies on that bend. Remember trackman is plotting the heads path not where you are intending to bend it which it will ultimalty go.

When i played with R2L even when I thought I nailed it I still hadn't. Took some time

You should see how the only way for the club to get to the ball is by the shaft rotating around the head by being place for it to happen. Imagine if you rotated the head around the shaft or worse twisted it. You’d have to add lean to keep the club from impacting early with your only option(leading edge). Letting the lean increase from byproduct of pivot speed on a full swing is ideal. Again take my thoughts for whatever you think they’re worth not trying to make enemies lol.

Dude you’re making even less sense. Those images with you and Moe are the opposite of the club rotating around the head. Dishonest or just plain dumb, I no longer care to try to figure out which.

Yep the clubheads on an arc to the ball. Lets disrupt it by using the handle to rotate it. Pretty sure you'd be better off doing the opposite and being where you should be to keep it on it. Real VOODOO stuff.

Doesn’t happen. You don’t even know what you’re saying anymore and you argue in bad faith.

That’s exactly what you and Moe are showing. I’ve already illustrated that you kicking the handle is almost the exact opposite of what you do in any golf swing.

I’ll just leave it at this. Between you, me, and R2L, I’m the only one who has posted clear impact video of a real golf shot and any data at all of me hitting the shots we’re discussing.

There’s nothing more to talk about until you do the same. I understand your weather sucks, so feel free to tag me when you get video and data from Florida. I’m truly curious what it shows. Have a good trip.

I don't hate you at all. It's just that you are talking about things that are fantastically complicated. I mean, trying to think about the torques applied to the  grip of the club but in the context of reversing the instantaneous center of rotation is beyond the scope of what we want to talk about here.

I'm joking about calling it voodoo but it is borderline sorcery because most golfers that read this forum are not good enough to make those concepts work. They don't have the hand-eye skill with a simultaneous understanding of the advanced mechanics you are talking about. They are just going to lay the sod over it trying that stuff.

I don't want to censor you but rather just ask to have some discernment about how you describe your ideas. If you would have consulted with some of us resident swing experts before we got in this mess, it would have gone a lot smoother.

And you've continually demonstrated that you don't understand what's actually being said to you (or roughly half of the bull you've said).

Again:

On 1/21/2024 at 3:00 PM, iacas said:

So, almost the opposite of what you were showing when you kicked the grip end out and the clubhead fell down. In that, we had two linear movements (the grip went a club length horizontally, the club head fell down a clubhead length vertically, with 90° of rotation plus the double translation. In this the grip is remaining in place and the clubhead is rotating around the grip, so we have 180° of rotation with no linear translation. You don't even know what you're posting anymore.

Yet you keep posting about "rotating around the clubhead."
