Do we think they will be releasing a new 0211 iron model too?

Not in the XCOR's, they are being discontinued.

So a new direction for the lower end model or a continuation with a different name?

fairly new to PXG so I’m trying to figure them out as a company. I’m wondering if I pull the trigger on the 0211’s now or the 0311’s now or wait until a new model comes out. Either to try the new model or hope the current generation gets discounted to remove old stock.

Thanks for the reply

Pretty much a discontinuation for the XCOR line. A shame to because they are great irons. Every bit as good as the 0311's except they are cast, not forged.

There's not going to be a lot of difference between the current 0311's and the Gen 7's when they come out. Only difference is that supposedly the Gen 7's are going to have either 3 or 4 big screws instead of 1.

I believe the Gen 6 irons are on sale now. May get cheaper when the Gen 7's come out in July supposedly.

Ok that’s great information thank you! Would you recommend getting the 0211 xcor’s now or wait until gen 7 come out and hope the Gen 6 are on a sale similar to 0211’s now?

im a pretty high handicap golfer and wont really be able to get to a PXG store to dial in the weights of the 0311’s.

I understand you can’t give me solid advice on the fitment of clubs or any advice tailored to me or my swing, just asking for your purchasing opinion

Very interested in seeing what they come up with. If in fact they switch from one big weight to 3 or 4, it will likely be the biggest change they have ever made from one gen to the next.

Based on what you're telling me I would go with the Gen 6 0311 XP's. Those will be the most forgiving. I'm single digit hcp and that's what I play because why not. Make the game as easy as possible.

Totally agree, I’m a low single digit too. I’m actually thinking about going from my Gen4 XP’s to Gen6 XP’s, but haven’t been able to hit them yet. Hopefully will be going to a PXG store soon to try them and the Black Ops driver, fwys, and hybrids.

In the past, didn’t they release previous new Gen irons around Feb/March timeframe?  This seems like a weird time of the year to launch an entirely new line.

Yeh it used to be mid - late March I believe. Then Parsons said the 0311's were going to be an every other year release. Which at the time meant no Gen 7's in 2024. Well supposedly that has changed and now heard they will be released late July early August this year.

So basically who the hell knows !!!!!

Have a PXG demo day at my club for last Friday in July, hopefully whatever is dropping will be available to hit by then...

maybe if they didn’t make 28* pitching wedges in the newer 0211 more people would’ve bought them. Me included.

Some of us prefer a little spin on our irons so we can hold a green.

Manufacturers have made massive strides in improving stronger lofted irons, so much discretionary weight has been placed low to the point where peak height plays a much more significant role in overall stopping power. You probably already know that though.

I’ve personally seen plenty of strong lofted irons have absolutely no issue stopping on a green, now if we were having this discussion back in 2017, you would be 100% correct.

I just got gen 6 with mmt 105 shafts and was surprised it wasn't an up charge. Made it pretty much the same or cheaper than any other irons out there really.

Does anyone know if replacements to the CBs are coming? I honestly don’t know how they can Improve them. They’re basically perfect.

The Atlantic Ocean would have to part in order to make the CB’s any better (stranger things have happened).   I swear I’ve put my CB’s against almost every CB out there to test and compare and I still come back to my 0317 CB’s.  I think the parimeter weighting really has everything to do with the club.   Even my pro’s at my club have hit them and they’re huge Taylormade/Titieist/Callaway staff guys.  Every single one of them says the same in that it’s the most incredible cavity back they have ever hit.  My head pro nailed it, he said how there is very little twisting of the face through longer cut grass which solidifies how stable the club is through shots.   Feel is incred.

I have a few sets that rotate through my bag, but the CBs are about as perfect an iron that I've ever played. I genuinely don't know how they can be improved upon.

I know the new level 902os is sort of a niche iron, but has anyone happen to have both sets of these? I wonder how much more demanding the PXG’s would be.

I’ve been finding the center of the club face consistently and think I could probably go a bit smaller but definitely want a good amount of help still, specifically on thin/toe shots, how do the PXG’s perform in that regard?
