Just a thought, but maybe the 2W would replace the tsr2+ on the next release

my thoughts exactly.  The 2+ was probably not as successful as they thought it would be.  Too close to the ts2 IMO.

No interviewer standing next to him with really dumb questions the whole time. Not surrounded by brand ambassadors. No annoying background music.

Just the player and his bag. Damn. I could watch 100 of these.

Also - please release this so I can buy one this morning!

100%. You do need a player that "knows" the tech somewhat though. I like to harp on Rick Shiels because of how bad he is at this, but something like his more recent Tommy Fleetwood WITB is an example of both problems; terrible/incomplete questions and a player that is also pretty disinterested in tech talk. Get a guy who cares about his gear and absolutely just let him talk and/or just edit out the questions or prompts from a third party.

I feel like that's the standard use for it as drivers become more and more set up to hit fades. It's hard to draw a driver now without a weird knuckleball while the 2 wood is way easier to turn over.

It's just as much the modern ball too. It's funny because if this 2w trend continues and gets more popular it will basically do to the driver what the modern 4w/7w combo has done to the 3w/5w. The ball and clubs are hot enough to warrant needing more loft to optimize launch. Many guys on tour have dropped the "modern" 3w because it simply goes too far, with many opting for either higher spinning "Max" type heads, switching 4w lofts to fill what the original 3w was intended for, or even hotter "Rocket" 3-woods and now mini drivers as driver alternatives. Those mini drivers at 12-13* now producing spin numbers more in line with drivers in previous decades, so now more drawable!

This sets off my rant about modern driver heads, shafts and balls all being designed to kill spin.

If you're not an OTT slicer or a 120+ swinger it's a nightmare.

Is Callaway's new mini really 340cc? If so, that's way too big. Hard to see the point. The Brnr is just over 300 and I think it's too cumbersome.

Hoping the Titleist 2w comes in at about 220-235. That would the sweet spot for me. But if they don't release it, I'll stick with my TSR2+, which is 190cc. I don't think I'll ever go back to a 300+ cc mini driver. They are fun but too limiting at that size.

Yes, callys new mini driver is 340cc which would be primarily a “off the tee” stick.  The Titlest Proto mini driver looks much smaller which I love since I’ll be using mine as a 3 metal/fwy replacement.

We have a much better chance of seeing the Titleist mini at retail.  Pretty sure our old friend Jonny Wunder said the Callaway version is tour only, no retail.

The Titlest looks the best out of them all imho.  But we all know JW is usually wrong when he says “this will never come to retail”😂

I love it, speaking it into retail existence. Fingers crossed! Also, hoping they price it close to the regular FWs.

I'm expecting more like $399-$425 because it will be a limited run and more materials cost, particularly with the two movable weights.

Looks bigger than 225 to me.  Does looks a little smaller than the mini Brnr though, so high 200's is my guess?

Found it.  Timestamped.

OK, thank you. It's surprising. Is there a precedent for Titleist making a one-off, tour-only club like this without at least some approximate version coming to market? I know they did it with 5i version of the U500 utility, but that was just a single tour-only loft of a mass produced line.

Maybe this is just the teaser club but they will be adding a 2w in their new wood lineup coming later this year. That's my hope: that the club we have been seeing might not be coming to market, but a refined and re-branded version of it eventually will be.

Everyone is drooling all over the Titleist 2W, but just wait until we all find out that this is part of the USGA's plan to prepare us for rolling back the driver from 460 cc...

Titleist being very traditional with their designs, it would be refreshing if they brought a 2 wood out that's not a mini driver size.

Isn’t that what the TSr2+ is?

Kinda. But it's only 15cc larger than the standard 3w, and about the same size as most other companies' stock 3w.
