Fantastic pic. Carbon with a sound slot is a great feel. Sort of springy, punchy, with incredible feedback and not harsh at all.

All these putters are incredible! Ive been looking to get a custom putter for a long time and have read and looked at a lot of makers and these putters are simply a cut above! You guys in the states are so lucky to have custom makers like this to visit and call, the UK sadly is very lacking in this respect! Tho, none the less, ive just emailed steve to ask how much i need to save to have a putter made (Im just out of doing a Masters at University so am pretty much flat broke). Hopefully ill find out soon how much i need to save, and more to the point, how long im going to have to save and work out how to get the purchase by my girlfriend!

What is the order process as far as time frames? I would like to order a 006 very similar to the one above in oil can finish? I see there is a $150 deposit. So basically, how long does it take once I put the order in with the deposit? TIA...

It all depends on how busy Byron is... It needs to be milled, then byron does his grinding, then it gets shipped off for oil canning, then back to Byron to do paintfill and completion... So in short, PM Steve "Z-man" and he will talk to you about it. Just a little off track. It is will worth the wait whatever it may be...

I know Byron just got done with an oil can batch, so it might be a little while before he gets another one sent off. I waited about 8 weeks from order date to delivery for my OC putter (which really isn't bad at all considering how much time it takes to do all the work). I'm sure everyone will tell you (myself included) it is WELL worth any wait.

Anyways, go with funky's advice and talk to Zman or Dave - both of these guys will take good care of you. Good luck with your order!

Like Hwwong said I think it depends on how ant orders have been put in for that batch.

I remember that my 006 was extremely quick, it was like 2-3 weeks. My guess is that I placed my order just before the Black Ox went out.

Regardless the wait was well worth it.
