my reason for wanting these wedges, i have never played callway wedges, ever, always had to play used wedges because i cant justify spending 300 bucks for a set of wedges. i have only bought one wedge new, and that got stolen from me a week later.

 

another reason, just had to sell of almost my entire bag to pay rent over the winter, only thing i got to keep were my wedges because no one wanted them, they were that worn out.

I have never had a new wedge before. I have been using two hand me down Cleveland Reg's for over 10 years and to get some great new wedges would be an amazing gift.

 

I have struggled with my wedge game for some time now and if I were able to get these custom made "weapons" I know I would improve.

How do you explain what it would mean to have one of the worlds best clubmakers make you a custom set of wedges, Besides AWESOME . This would be an awesome additon to my bag or anyone eles's at that point. Never had custom clubs, would love to try some with custom grinds on them. Better yet show them off to my military buddies to make them jealous.

I would love to win these wedges. This is such an integral part of scoring in this game and many players don't even realize what different grinds and bounces can do to improve your game. Myself included. I have learned some of the variences of grinds when I joined this website and bough my current wedges used. Now that I know more what I am looking for in a set of wedges this would be the perfect opportunity. Not only to receive a great set of custom wedges, but to also work with a legend in the wedge world, which would be a great honor.

I grew up playing 588 wedges and Cleveland was the man when it came to wedge design. Getting fit into some wedges by him would be amazing and would certainly help my confidence around the greens.

First, thanks to GolfWRX, Callaway and Mr. Cleveland for this opportunity. I am good player, but not a great player. I think that with a great set of wedges that I could be great. I have been using Nike Tiger Woods wedges for the past 4 years and have many sets of them. They are no longer being produced anymore and I have been searching for replacements. I have tried all makes, grinds and models and have found nothing that can replace them. With this opportunity to work with a great clubmaker like Mr. Cleveland I can hopefully find a replacement for my current wedges and take my game to the next level. Thanks!

I have an extremely shallow approach at the ball and it's tough to find wedges OTR that fit my swing. I believe Roger could fix that :man_in_love:

What this would mean to me is incalcuable. Honestly, wedges have caused me to contemplate quitting golf. It is starting to feel horrible to make 7 on a par 5 after a 340 yard drive down the middle and a missed green. I almost walked off the course after making 6 on a short par 4 where I drove it green high about 10 yards left. It took me 5 to get up and down, with 2 putts. Something has gotten into my head where picking up any wedge causes tightness and flubbing/skulling on short chips and pitches. I know it all boils down to my confidence in the equipment. Right now I only chip with an 8 iron and shots inside 100 I am trying to use 9 iron. Mr. Cleveland's master craftsmanship would mean alot to me because I have different misses with different clubs. Lefties don't get the bounce/grind options that rightys do, so this is the perfect way to finally sure up my set with something that will give me that cofidence back. Apprentice craftsman Totti has attempted to grind his wedges himself, but this has turned out horribly and I have all but ruined my 60 degree trying to take bounce off of it. That said, these new wedges would not be something I would put on a mantle. If I was to win this contest, I would have the added confidence I need to improve. Even though I would love to save them on a rack somewhere, if I was too win I would put them to their natural use - improving someones game.

I would love to own these clubs, because I have never had any clubs custom fit to my specifications ever. I just play used clubs that fit other people and make it work. It would mean that I can fianlly have nice, new custom fitting clubs to my specs. To be treated like a pro....NICE

Why I would like to own these wedges..

 

I am a single digit handicap (4), and I have played Cleveland wedges exclusively for 20 years, beginning with the chrome 588's. I love the look and feel of the clubs, and have found nothing better, until Roger went to Callaway. I now play the X-forged wedges, in 50, 56, and 60. I absolutely love the C grind on the 60. I have taken the 56 and ground it by hand to replicate the heel grind of the C grind, as I play a former tour course with tight lies and great quality sand, this grind on both wedges seem to make the ball simply float from the lie...

 

So, as a dedicated Roger Cleveland disciple, who loves the wedges he creates, I woul;d relish a set of hand ground Cleveland design wedges.

 

Roger, thanks to you for your work and wonderful wedges! Keep it up...
