Here's my question.....With the RBZ 3-Wood seemingly getting all the attention for it's incredible distance gains, how is Taylormade positioning the R11S fairway wood and what improvements can we expect upgrading from the R11 Ti?

Thanks TM!

With some of the large distance gains being seen by some of the tour players with the RBZ fairway wood, are you seeing any resistance to the adoption of this club from tour pros because they simply hit it too far?

Why no RBZ 13 degree Tour Spoon - PGA COR compliance issues?

Have a 07 burner tour spoon w/ Dianama Blue board, its a cannon, how does the new RBZ 3w 15 stack up against it?

Rbz TP specs vs the regular Rbz specifications?

Have an R11 Driver - how would the RBZ family agument /fit with an R11 as apart of my set of woods.

Thanks all

The more durable and new tint of white paint on the Ghost putters...same on the R11S woods?

Perhaps not in line with the R11S and RBZ questioning, but with a couple of other manufacturers offering customization to the public (wedges, putters), is this something Taylormade is considering?

While I appreciate the optical benefits of the white heads, I'd love to see another color offered in the same matte finish. Is this ridiculous of me to ask considering what's being invested in the Ghost look?

What goes into the decision on what (in TMs opinion) is the best OEM shaft for the RBZ and R11S for the off-the-shelf consumer to get the best performance of these clubs right out of the box?
Thank you.

From a marketing viewpoint, Taylormade continues to do great things in getting their new products recognised. However, it seems the line up of clubs are now refreshed annually with probably "minimal" difference to the majority of players out there (with a relatively high handicap).

Is it TM's marketing strategy to ensure a mass of clubs is out there to cater different buyer's budgets, enabling them to choose between 1, 2 or 3 season old equipments?

Trajectory wise: The RBZ will promote a higher trajectory , how about a better players option? Which promotes a lower piercing trajectory for windy conditions? My current R11 TP, I kinda accomplished that by testing around 7 shafts.

Also, when is Taylormade sending a full fitting cart like the one I used at Doral, to Puerto Rico?, Our dealer has only a few heads to demo, and all with the stock shafts, no TP shafts are included for DEMO.
Without this options, it is time consuming and not cost effective, and right now we have the Titleist guys offering full fittings to their customers. But as we know, it is not the same to try a Titleist head vs a Taylormade head.
Also, is Taylormade bringing back a set of irons like the 09 Tour Preferred? IMHO thats the best all around set of irons made for mid to low handicap players.

Thanks in advance

What are the main differences between the Superfast 2.0 TP 3 wood and the RBZ 3 wood?

Will there be a TP version of the RBZ, with upgraded shaft

Thanks GolfWrx and Thanks TMAG.

Two questions:

1. What is your "strategy" or "theory" regarding how to market equipment to "aspirational" golfers? That is players who take the game seriously, who want to improve, but who are double-digit handicappers and need all the technological help they can get? I know I fall into this category (and I think many other GolfWrxers do too). We know "GI" clubs will help us hit the ball "better" but we're also constantly watching professional golf and see their equipment (note our fascination with tour pro equipment in the "Tour and Pre-Release Equipment" Thread) and listening to the "chatter" from low-handicap or elite amateur players regarding "buttery soft" forged irons and "low spin / low launch" drivers.

2. What are your thoughts on the ever increasing distance players (especially professionals and elite amateurs) can hit the ball? Is it a problem? If so, how do we fix it? if not, why not?

Thanks again.

Looking forward to the information.

Regards,
OK_Golf

1. What is the thought in replacing/reintroducing a new line/model every year?

2. What new methods and materials has made it possible have thinner walls and better weight distribution?

3. Will you bring an option of a black head to retail i really love the look of the r9 SuperTri and the sound and feel of the R11

Thanks

A.J.

Is the RBZ driver a modified version of the R9 460? Why is the weight cartridge back in the RBZ driver, Compared to r11 and superfast tp where the weight is positioned in front as in the Rbz fairwaywood? Are you still getting low spin? Are we gonna see a 8 degree driver later this year in the RBZ or R11 line up?

thank you GolfWRX and TM!

When can we see a fully-customisable color scheme chosen by the purchaser for new woods etc.? For example, I would like an R11S in charcoal black head color with orange flames spewing from beneath and hot chrome/silver lettering. Oh, and my 'callsign" engraved upon it in a wicked font. By the way, there are two 'O's in Goose. Make it happen!

I have a few questions

On the RBZ 3 wood, please explain the two main concepts ( slot or channel tecnology and the weight port) that I am seeing on the bottom of this head and just how it effects the play of the club.

First can you explain each of these separately. The slot or channel does what to the head and or face.
Next, the weight port moved forward compared to it being in the back does what to the head?
If a heavier weight is used in this forward location it will produce what to the ball flight and spin?

Do the two work hand in hand together? If so, how and why?

On the R11S, I was lucky enough to see one in person,

What was done to create such a awesome look? Looking down at it, it seems to look flatter or can I say a lower profile to it, but yet when one turns it to face on, it is anything but a low profiled head.

Best looking Head to date IMHO and I have owned almost every head since the R510 days

OH, just looking for feedback, not a 3 wood package since I got one.

Thanks TMAG and GOLFWRX
