What club do you use for the 175 yard shot?

If your irons are too short and hybrids too long then id choke up on a hybrid or maybe knock down hybrid? If im hitting into a green and need the ball to stop id use a 6 iron for that yardage. If im just trying to lay up hitting it 175ish or need to cut the ball id use a knock down 5 or even choke up and punch a 22 deg 4 hybrid. I guess whatevers most comfortable for your swing really?

Depends on how I'm hitting the ball that day. Sometimes I will be stroking the ball, I'll hit a 7. if its towrads the end of the round and I'm tired, I might grab a 6 or even 5 for a lower shot with roll, depends on pin, slope etc

I carry my 7 iron right around 170 yards. So provided I don't need to carry it any further than that I'll hit 7 iron.

If I was to only use an iron it would be a gripped down/smooth swing 4i.

5 or 6 for me...usually the 5 with slight fade.

I'd hit my 5i, which right now is a JPX Fli Hi hybrid. I'm getting some grief from my buds about having an LPGA bag, but I don't care because I'm hitting great shots with it.

A lot of you guys are saying 7i. I believe you, but in my regular rounds with normal members at my club in north Atlanta, I pretty much never play with anybody who would hit a 7i from 175 yards unless it was significantly downhill.
