Interesting how he plays X100s in his irons but S400s in his wedges. I'm sure they're both tipped, but still, I figured it would be the same throughout. Also, I notice it's a DI 6X in his driver...makes me question if the 7X I just bought was a mistake. I know I don't swing the scalpel like Dubs does.

I'm sure he has the AD-DI tipped 1" or something. In fact, I think I recall reading that somewhere.

I have heard his S400s are tipped about 1/2".

This bag won't change for the whole year. You might see the Covert Driver sometime between the Masters and US Open. He just doesn't change equipment. Minus the 2 iron/5 wood swap during tournaments.

The AD-DI 6X is tipped 1.5"....... FW3 Diamana BB 103X is also tipped 1.5"

His PW is 49 degrees. I cannot imagine they're tipping taper tip shafts much more than 1/4" either. I've heard many times he plays X1 straight in and same for the wedges. Every time I go to a Vokey clinic he tells the story when Tiger switched from X100 to S400 in his wedges.

1/4" tipping on the irons sounds right from what I've read as well. Not surprising with the 1.5" tipping on the driver either, makes me feel slightly better .

I'm interested in the story about him switching from X100 in the irons to S400, care to share a bit?
