How many new courses did you play this year?

Kind of similar to the recently built courses thread.

 

How many new courses did you add to your list this year?

 

It was a good year for me (last two years actually), we really don't travel a lot so typically don't get to a lot of new tracts.

 

Four in California, the LaQuinta courses, Dunes and Mountain and two at PGA West, Nicklaus and Norman.

 

Two in Colorado, Marianna Buttes in Loveland and AarowHead in Denver.

 

One in Wyoming, Airport course in Cheyenne.

 

One in Nebraska, Country Club of Lincoln.

 

Eight new ones for me this year (and still hoping for a possible Mesquite trip next month to add a few more)

I played the Osprey course in Disney and a course in Columbia I can't recall the name of. Other than that I think i've only played 3 other courses all year.

Well I managed to get (a sorta new) one in on a trip this fall. Twin Eagles in Naples. The course got some plastic surgery done. I played as quest member and was told that I should have played this course before the make over so I could appreciate it more.

Just moved to Erie last year, so almost anything is going to be new to me! No big name courses, and out if the 6 would probably only go back to Pine lakes, Culbertson hills, and lake shore.

Wow - that's quite a list. I notice you got a few in my area too - Old Marsh is one of my favorites in the southern ME/Seacoast NH area.

Ya one of my best mates is a member at a Harris group course, so we got some rounds in within the network just last week when I was up there. They joked I brought and took the weather with me and it looks like I did. They were all quality courses. They really are. They remind me of the ones back home in the Pacific Northwest, as opposed to my locals now.

Funnily enough, on that silly boomerang Par 5 at Old Marsh (16th?) that should really be a Par 4, after we hit our sensible 3 woods off the tee, for kicks my friend had a go at the green over the trees and got on in one, haha. That hole not withstanding its a fun and interesting track.

It used to be a par 4 until this year. It is a VERY stiff par 4 (which is fine by me) but a ridiculously easy par 5.

2013 has been an outstanding golf year for me, even though I've played like crap most of the year. I played about 60 courses this year, 30 of which were new for me. Many were amazing, especially Yale and the courses I played in Scotland. Other of note were Sand Hollow, Richter, Jasna Polana Whippoorwill and Oak Quarry. I also had my annual round at Sleepy Hollow CC (one of the best) with an old friend who invites me each year.
