I'm scheduled for a fitting tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they stack up. I'm really thinking a CB/MC combo... But I'm going in with an open mind. I'm super pumped.

Awesome update. Did they hint at anything more about the wedges? Did you stick with stock kbs tour shafts? Also it's interesting that they said to bend them all 1* strong. That's the same setup that I'm looking at getting once I get out to hit them.

He could not tell me anything about the wedges other than that they will be worth the wait, and that different grinds may be available. Also said that they will be released around Masters week. As for the TP irons, ended up going with the TT DG SL S300 shafts. I was just hitting them the best, and they seemed to give me the better ball flight. Also went with the white / black Golf Pride New Decade grips.

The more I look at the Tour Preferred script, the better it looks (still not as good as the badge). The more I look at the black and red combination, the better it looks. But there is just something about the uniform look of all black that I really like.

What do you guys think?

I like it a ton. I think it looks a lot better just all black instead of black and red. Much cleaner in my opinion. Did TM do it for you or did you have someone else do the paint change?

The all black looks awesome!! I just got my set in, 3 iron CB, 4-pw MC. Having the recoil proto 125 x-stiff installed today with white iomic sticky 2.3. pics tomorrow. cant wait.
FWIW i cant believe how good the CB 3 iron looks at address. I almost feel like i should have gotten the 4 in a CB also.
Does anybody know how i should bend the 3 iron CB to match the loft gap to the 4 iron MC?

as of now its just a mock up, I'll put paint to canvas after I get back from the PGA show. a fine tip sharpie works fine for the mock up, but paint will actually hold up. I just wanted to see how it would look. I've been testing out 4-PW MC and waiting on my 3-6 CB to come in Friday.

I'm pretty sure that the lettering in the cavity is RAISED,, so it'll be kinda hard to paint on top without getting paint everywhere..
I tried to do that with my old ping s56's, where the "S56" little badge was raised lettering.. kinda tough and with bag chatter it just chips off

I think the black really makes the dirty glove "pop." With the red, that effect is lost in the color haze.

Raised on and 3-7 irons. Not hard at all. You just need practice and patience. I've done it before with similar clubs. Key is you don't use a brush. It takes a few coats and patience but using a flat surface to press against the raised surface almost as if you were using the "preferred" script as a stamp to an ink pad. Does the trick well.

That is what I've done in the past. You just have to be very careful not to touch the "tour" I've used anything from the side of a popsicle stick (tongue depresser) to a small piece of wood. You've just got to be creative. Obviously I much prefer paintfill in stamped letters.

I feel you for sure. Everyday I think about the same thing. I think what I'm gonna do is just get 3-PW MC and also get 7-PW MB. Then decide what I wanna do once I get a bunch of rounds in with both of them. The MCs are soo solid and I don't mind the slot. I'm sure I'll change my setup a bunch this summer. It's always a work in progress...

lofts changed on the CB, grip w 2 wraps and standard KBS tour stiffs - pretty awesome T/A time from TM if you ask me

Thanks for posting the comparison pics. I was at my buddy's shop yesterday to pick up my CB 3 iron. I agree that the CB and MC are fairly close to each other. I do feel that there's a tad bit more offset and thicker top line. It's not much but I can tell. Maybe I'm a bit more anal than others. Either way, all 3 lines are perfect in my opinion. TM brought 3 sets that can be interchanged and the sets flows through very nicely. I'm on the fence with order 4 and 5 iron in the CBs.
