i wonder if all the different grinds and finishes available will confuse some potential customers. also, won't these take away sales from their Wedgeworks department?

Glad I waited to see these before pulling the trigger on TVD's. Look great.
Press release I got said 7% groove volume increase on the 56 lofts and up I believe. I'm assuming that is over the SM4's?

Only wish companies would just max out the grooves already to the new allowable dimensions instead of stringing people along 7% at a time... thanks, USGA.

I actually think all the different grinds are more clear to the consumer this year than ever before. They used to just have the loft and bounce on their wedges but now they actually list the grind as well, making it very easy to know what grind you're looking at and find out more info on what each grind does via their website or information in the store. Also, they rely on these wedges for most of their sales. They started the TVD's as a more expensive option for people willing to pay for it, but they're definitely not concerned that these will take sales away from the TVD sales. And WedgeWorks should have plenty of work to do, since you can get all the same custom stamping/grips/shafts/shaftbands/etc. on their retail SM5 wedges as you can on the TVDs.

Does anyone know the release date? Looks like chrome and black nickel? I was hoping they would have a raw option.
[/quote]

Release is 3/14/14. There is no Black Nickel finish anymore. The black wedges shown are the new Raw Black finish, which would be the raw option you're looking for. I know it's black but the finish will wear off (or be taken off) easily. They replaced the Black Nickel with a new Gold Nickel which I don't know if it's pictured here or not.

If the 54 and 60 are both available in M grind, I'll be picking some up.

Love, love, love that Raw Black finish! Ill take a 52.10 F and a 58.07 S or M. Question though? Will we probably have to order specific ones? I can't really see Golf Galaxy or Uinta Golf carrying ALL of the grinds/lofts.

I just got 50, 54, and 58 TVD M grinds in Brushed Chrome finish and wondering if there is any difference with these other than mine are SM4 and these are SM5. I'm glad they came out with these but thinking that paying $160 for a TVD wedge wasn't worth it. Might have to send Vokey an email on this.

I LOVE these. Great job introducing new colors and grind options in a cleaner look.

Will eventually pick up a 54/58 in the raw black finish, though like many I will probably be confused by the grinds a bit.

As a lefty, am sad knowing 75% of these options won't be available to me.

Also, this looks very similar to what Nike came out with last year.

It will be interesting to read the details about the grinds and what they are specifically designed to do.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
- Lord Tennyson

Hope you're right, except for the gold nickel. If they're going to leave one out, would prefer they leave out the black. The gold nickel looks great.

The K grinds are the real deal. I picked up 56* and 60* TVD-K wedges last year and they are phenomenal out of the sand. The soles look really wide in the photos, but not so much in person.

Outside of some custom finishes or adding bullet grind to an existing sole, there isn't much to do aside from stamping, shafts, and grips.

I could honestly care less about the finish. Just give me the L grind in 52 and 56 and T grind in the 60 low bounce options and I am done. I have been looking to replace my Scratch wedges which have seen better days. With Scratch not really making any lefty wedges anymore I have been on a quest to find wedges that have similar grinds and bounce options to what I have now and available lefty to no avail. These could be it. Anyone know the price point of these?

It's a little disappointing they are getting rid of the 56.08 option. Last time I was at a titleist wedge fitting they told me this was one of the most popular combos.
