I'd always wanted a Tuttle putter. Finally got one last February. With a round grip by Pure, it's now my favorite club.

There's something about that putter, even going back to the mid 90s when I rolled them at Golfsmith, that worked for me. Couldn't figure out how or why, but that thing made putts for me.

    Beautiful blade!!!

    Do you bag this one?

First, apologies for the comparative pics though I couldn't find the 8802 thread however I did find a few Bulls Eye threads, lol. No more multi putter posts after this, I promise, and I NEVER make friggin promises, lol.

As you probably know, this is my All-Timer and the last putter in my bag, spent 32-33 of my last 36 years in my bag, though I went through many grips, haha. I am really glad that Madison thought to have Mr. Palmer autograph it though another part of me wishes that it was my 8813 that he autographed however there is a story behind this 8802 as he used it for a round when his putter head fell off of his gamer while at our club, and he laughingly commented to that when he signed it as he didn't putt especially well that day(32-34 putts, I can't remember).

I've enclosed comparative pics with the current 8802 offering, the double milled edition. I've only used this on a putting mat though this putter had a great feel, obviously different from "The 8802," and while my black Memdrella 8802 was going into the bag, if this does on grass what it does on a mat, it's in the bag, lol.

It also has a great feeling grip in the red Lamkin 3 Gen Pistol grip

As my Teacher always chirped, "A blade don't lie," lol

Stay well JS and have a great week👊

I put that blade in the bag once in a while, but no, this one always felt a bit heavy. I've got others:) If I'm gaming an old putter these days it is usually the Zing or an Anser. There are some very nice new putters out there, but like your newer 8802, I like a classic look! Love your Mr. Palmer memories. I'm a fan!

This is the Acushnet Heel Shafted Flange II, the difference between the I and the II is that the I had a slight offset and this model(Heel Flange II) did not. When you think about there being OVER 400 variations of the simple Buls Eye blade, from head designs to weights, lengths, grips, lies, lofts, material(brass, brass/aluminum, etc), that's pretty incredible. Their Daddy was John Reuter, Jr., whose first Bulls Eye came to market around 1940. The rights to the Bulls Eye was sold to Acushnet(Titleist) in 1958. The vast majority were off the blade configuration and made of a soft brass though the amount of brass varied from batch to batch and year to year, lol. The yellower the color, the more brass and the softer the feel, versus the darker brown denoting less brass used in the process. Mine is a little darker, firmer(see shaft band) and I remember when I picked it there were some lighter and some darker and this felt(sounded) best to me. My Teacher, Pete, like his lighter color(softer) and Sam even darker than mine and he always complained that he couldn't find one "firm" enough for his ear.
