Surprised we don't have somebody on site for such a big event

History has shown the interest for the Seniors/Champions Tour isn't anywhere near what it is for the PGA Tour. No matter what a few here that will say they love seeing the senior golf bags. Since there is only one of me, I'm at Quicken Loans National. Golfwrx members that might be attending the US Senior Open are welcome to post photos.

I'm interested as well, as I think that the seniors (and the LPGA) bags would probably have more in common with most members bags here than the PGA tour bags.

But, I also understand that Greg is only one person and can only be at one tournament at a time. This time of the year, he almost has to commit to the PGA stops, since this is when we start to get first looks at upcoming equipment.

I qualified for the Senior Us Open at Oak Tree a few years ago.

Good event, Oak Tree was awesome. The golf course and the people.

It was my first tournament in over twenty years, so I walked in to the press tent to see if any of the old guys I spent time with were around, thinking it was a major event.

If I remember correctly, there were four or five people in the press tent, two of them volunteers.

I knew then, that the Champions Tour wasn't a big deal

Course is in beautiful shape, Donald Ross greens playing havoc as one would expect.

Course looks stunning cool seeing Watson and Faldo paired together and could watch Freddie swing all day. Don't think I'll be throwing on the PGA tour this evening.

Hmm, and so many thought Erin Hills was too easy lol :)

Shoutout to Kenny Perry playing Taylormade r7 irons from 2007. Quality sticks no doubt.

 

 

He never should have stopped playing with those. He went on a tear with those in his mid-late 40's, nearly won the Masters with them. He never played as well after he switched.

I also thought it was weird that he switched to a different type of putter after his G2 CRAZE broke. He putted lights out with that thing. PING would have sent him a dozen replicas if requested.
