This is actually a really good question - it's something I tried yesterday to emulate. For those of you how know me, you know how much I struggle with getting the proper wrist set. After watching Rory for 5 hours and seeing the positions he gets in, in person, made the golf swing make sense to me. He doesn't go after the ball - he did once and wow - he realllllllly uses the angles with his hands and the release for him is very important; again something we talked about in depth.

Cheers, well timed angles with fast hands/arms is something I work on always while still being controlled with it. Or I at least think I am. image/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Second, thanks for the great story. I am so happy you got to do this and that you shared such a great present with your wife. I hope you have many more happy anniversaries.

Dan, I've been a member here for a long time and read a helluva lot of stories. I think your story was the most enjoyable story of them all!

First of all, I am really glad you enjoyed the experience so much. That's just great to witness as a reader - your 'goodness' and 'golf nerdiness' came thru your story and we readers could just feel the connections you established as our proxy. That was so so so much fun to read.

The anniversary greeting (and Rory's 60 day anniversary or however long it was) was like the cherry on top.

So good for you, Dan. I worry for you guys who serve in a world that feels so troubled and troubling. I am really glad that you were able to do this and that you got to feel like one of the guys.

Wow, I can't begin to describe how you guys are making me feel. This has been seriously the greatest day of my life, but you guys are making it even better. I don't consider what I do as important - I just fly and fix planes. You guys are what made me want to do the write up, I couldn't let this opportunity to pass me by. Thank you all so much for your support - this community rocks.

A fabulous read. Thank you for sharing your special day in great detail. Given your posts, and the fact that Rory chose to spend an entire round with you, I'm certain you are a joy to be around.

    Thank you for your service.

Also, thank you to the member who sent me a personal message directing me to this thread. I don't spend a great deal of time in this sub-forum so there a really good chance I would have missed the opportunity. Well worth the journey.
