I going to have the try these out. I tried the st180 and dint care for the driver or fairways. I do still play the jpx900 fairways.

Now if Mizuno should just make a single length iron set.

For those who have hit both the 190 and the 180 fairway woods, how do they compare?

I’ve got a pretty good deal on a 180 (95 shipped brand new), and need to know if it’s worth jumping on it or waiting...

Thanks in advance!

That's a nice looking driver. I tried the ST180 yesterday and the Tour Edge EXS. They both produced really good numbers but the sound of the ST180 was a little too much for me. Didn't really mind the blue although it is really hard to not notice... I wound up walking out with the Tour Edge EXS, but if the ST190 is as good and quieter, I will be giving it a try.

I love how people are moaning and groaning about how they ripped off the look of the Rogue... Titleist had a similar, though maybe not as pronounced, crown in the 909 D Comp years ago. Yet, nobody ever mentions it. Carbon is the new wave obviously, people need to relax and just enjoy what we are being offered... I am really liking the sounds and feels of these composite drivers and FWs.

I have a set of JPX 850 driver, 3w and 7w that I am VERY fond of. Replaced the driver with the ST 180 this summer (10g hotmelt helps the sound). Didn't go with the FWs cause there was no 7w and they really don't seem to be that much different from the JPX 850 IMHO. If they offer a 7w for the ST 190, it may get my attention. I like the blue however.........
Bummer. I tried the 5w (JPX 850) set at 19, but the trailing edge of the sole slapped the turf too much for my liking when playing off tight fairways. Down South and out West it was fine but in New England I was back with my Cobras.
I LOVE the look of these! Planning to camp outside my fitter's the night before they're available (Apple fanboy-style) to be first in line to demo....well, probably won't go that far, but definitely would love to take these (both Driver and FW) for a spin at my first opportunity.

Will Keith Mitchell's win with ST190 boost the sales and the recognition?

Yes, but it won't affect distribution channels unless he wins 3 tournaments in a row. I've been excited to try the ST since it was announced, but I have one option locally to do so, and from the looks of things, it will be a while before I can demo it outside. For many who only go to, say, GG, those folks are out of luck. Keith Mitchell winning is VERY good for Mizuno, but I think one of the big guns needs to be on board to make casual customers notice beyond this week's WITB articles.

I was surprised to see my store only had 2 of each driver available and maybe 3 fw woods... they had nothing in stock and no demos... Guy said they just weren't anticipating sales as the 180 didn't move much. Too bad... looks like it could be a real contender if they could get it in people's hands.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the ST-190 in a flatter lie angle? Had one out on the course this weekend and was highly impressed. My only negative was the lie angle making the toe appear to sit up, my gamer is an Epic SZ so it was quite pronounced the difference

I felt my dispersion short and long was better with the ST-190. On the very best strikes I think the Epic SZ would win, however it wouldn’t be by much, and we are talking about 1 drive in 40/50 shots. I also felt the ST-190 performed better on strikes low on the face. Hope that helps

Just hit the 190G, not set up for me, Atmos black 6s and the weights were opposite, toe up, heel back. Regardless, this driver just seems to want to go straight.... So that was nice. Sound was good, feel was a little firm but that could have been due to weight placement... right out of the middle it feels really nice. Spin numbers were around 1900-2000 which is too low for me so I think I need to get my hands on the regular 190 and give that a go. SS was around 103-105... was said to be carrying 260 ish, ball speed around 151, but I don't know how accurate the monitors are. Driver LOOKS fantastic and my G400 has bee getting a little wonky on me lately..... tempted.

Pull the trigger my friend. I bought the 190g with that exact setup and have not looked back. I had the OG mizuno blue and the head size is so much nicer.

Thought about it. Spin is a little low for real world performance for me... maybe the blue would help a touch but I think the regular head is going to be a better fit. Beautiful drivers.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
