    Awesome stuff.

Be sure to reach out to the company that makes your irons and the ball you used. A lot of times they'll send you some kind of swag. Callaway and Srixon sent me some stuff when I had mine.

Happy Birthday. I'm impressed and a little bit bitter jealous. You say almost 40 years but that doesn't quite cover it. What would be your estimate on the number of rounds it took?

Interesting question that I haven't pondered. Thanks to my wonderful hard working wife, I retired at 46 in 2005 and my rounds played significantly increased. I also became a much better player after retirement. Sometime in 2007 I had my lowest handicap ever at 9. Much higher now because just don't enjoy practice any longer.

Congrats! Normally on your birthday...people buy you drinks...but if you make a hole-in-one...you'd have to buy them drinks. Are you net-net neutral on the libations then??

My friend had his first HIO a couple weeks ago. He's 74 and I swear he jumped 3 feet off the ground when he saw it go in. He told his wife once, "I just hope I can get a HIO before I die." After he made it she said, "That's awesome honey but don't die on me now."

I cold topped my tee shot on 18. From there, I played the rest of the hole very defensively. I was just trying not to make an 8 or 9.
