2019 Titleist T100, 200, 300 & CB & MB 8 iron comparisons

what's with all the name changes? Dropping from 700's to 600's. and then AP to T? Which T model represents the AP model?

T100 - AP2

T200 - AP3

T300 - AP1

Whilst I’m not a fan of them dropping the AP naming, it helps to sort out the numbering mess that they created by having it go AP2-AP3-AP1 in the current irons

In my view they would have been better keeping the AP name and just reordering (AP2 becomes AP1, AP3 becomes AP2 and AP1 becomes AP3) ....need more forgiveness, go for a higher number (although the drivers use the opposite even in this new structure which may be confusing)

I'd have split the difference and gone AP100, AP200, AP300.

Is it just me, or do the T100's look a little clunkier than the outgoing 718 AP2?

+1 and cavity of the T300 (AP1) looks most classic/best of all three.

Don’t understand why there appears to be two different cavity backs on the T200 and T300. One picture shows a round coin looking thing in one cavity and another picture has a car tire boot looking thing in the cavity. Yet the two pictures at the top here have nothing like that in the cavity. Confusing or am I missing something?

It’s a progressive set. The long irons implement different tech than the short irons. Not uncommon for OEMs to do that these days.

Thanks thought I was seeing things. Assumed everything was a 7 iron.. Looks like the ugly to OK look happens after the 7 iron..

I think I’m going to go:

4 iron: Concept

5 Iron: T300

6 Iron: T200

7 Iron: T100

8 Iron: CB

9 Iron: MB

PW: Vokey

Anybody else think Titleist is drawing out their lineup a bit too much ? 4 drivers and now 5 iron sets.

What is happening with the T-MB for 2020?

According to my shop, TMB is going away

This new lineup stinks out loud.

Other than the CB and MB, these things are butt ugly but will perform to normal Titleist standards by all means I’m sure.

In the 8-iron, the T300 looks better than the other two T irons.

If that crazy sundial on the back of the mid and long irons works, I'm in.

The new U series 500 and 510 are the replacement hollow 'driving iron' model for titleist. Have no idea if they will be offered full set like TMB but I would suspect not.

It's interesting, because I saw several (full) sets of T-MB's of amateurs playing in the Columbus US Open qualifier. And ANGC "marker" hero Jeff Knox also plays with a complete set of T-MB's. The T-MB's quickly found a home as long irons in the bags of even elite Tour players, so the basic architecture was proven. And some elite ams who seemingly wanted a bit of extra distance made use of the whole set. If Titleist is going to make eight or nine different sets of irons in 2020, you'd think that at least one of them would be a continuation of the T-MB hollow-body idea.

Yeah I agree with that logic. There just haven't been any peeps or mentions or anything that I've seen about making U500 or 510 a full set project. I am thinking it'll just be like 712U, only available as 'utility'.

Not a big fan of the T100 and T200 cavity at all. CB and MB look fantastic.

Does anyone know what the stock shafts will be for these??

Has there been any pro comments posted anywhere during this whole seeding process on how the irons feel and perform? I can't find anything.

regular project X for MB, project X LZ for CB, T100 AMT Tour white, T200 AMT Black,T300 AMT red

Should have stuck with the ap name. Even ap100 etc.
