Club opened up on Tuesday. Played over the weekend in Ventura/Santa Barbara County, but today was my first round back at my club in Riverside County. Sooooo good to be out there agin!

Don't arrive more then 15 minutes before your tee time

Plus they said there is probably more to follow as the state has not finalized everything

Our club is starting to offer curb side pickup of food starting this Wednesday. They plan on selling beer and wine for pickup as well, with a food order of course. Just received the email yesterday. Will be a limited menu as well as ready to heat homemade dinners for two and be available Wednesday to Saturday. Whatever you order will count against your yearly F&B charge. No word on when we will be golfing though. I am in Ontario and we expect to hear from the government this week hopefully.

Just got done playing. Fired a nice 6-under 66 with raised cups and a few tees up to cut down on overcrowding around certain tees. Birdied 5 in a row: 7 (10ft); 8 (12ft); 9 (6ft); 10 (4ft); and 11 (12ft.). Course played about 6400 yards. Felt good today after feeling not at all comfortable yesterday. Low round of the day by 3 in our group of 20. Won only 1 skin (on 1) for $50 and all my bets. Not a bad day!

We're supposed to post "what we most likely would have shot," but I have no idea what I should post. Feels like I should post from the whites (70.2) and post a 67 or 68. Wish we were told to just NOT POST. Would be much less confusion and everyone would be in the same boat (the "not posting" boat. LOL).

I agree on the posting. We should not be posting rounds with the raised cups. Maybe posting with the pool noodle, min depth cups would be OK, but raised cups is too easy and hard to judge what should count and what shouldn't. You can adjust for the shorter distance if it is less than 300 yards. There is a lookup table on the USGA site. I played on Thursday and shot 74 with a quad from our white tees which rate out 76.7/136 for me. I would have to post a 72. It isn't real. Raised cups probably help at least 2 - 3 strokes per round.

It's not that us "golfingers" are disbelievers, it's that both are correct. There are entire threads on this. Everywhere. Your take is not new, buddy. You are not special in pointing this out. There also used to be a distinction between "further" and "farther." There really isn't anymore. I'm actually a reformed pedant and was until I was in my late 30's when I realized what a douche-like way that was.

When a buddy texts me and asks "What's up?" I respond with one of two things: "Golf" or "Golfing." But, like you said, I'm not a "real" golfer, so why do you care?
