Favorite Polo Brand

The ones I reach for most often in the closet are RLX, Peter Millar, and FootJoy. I started taking my FJ shirts the tailor to have the sleeves shortened, and it made all the difference in fit and look.

FJ and RLX for me. Can usually find solid deals on eBay for them. But I haven't found others that look as good, or hold up as good over time.

 

Only downside to FJ is the weird sizing they have and extended sleeve length. Their athletic fit is my go to now though.

Didn't know FJ came out with athletic fit, good to know, thanks! I always found the 'normal' FJ fit to be a bit, or more than a bit on the big side, sort of like original C&B which were huge.

They're all pretty much the same for me outside I may have to buy either a M or an L depending on the OEM, so I go for price as well. I normally gravitate toward Nike, Oakley, and Adidas.

I didn`t bother wasting my time reading all the posts, because you clearly want a top "name brand", even though you say "I will wear anything if the price is right".

 

Regardless of price, 75% of people are gonna vote on Puma over Champion ( just an example ) even if they were made of the same materials in the same facility by the same humans/machines. As consumers we (you) associate names with quality. Sometimes an apple is an apple, regardless of the taste.

So much irony in this post haha. Puma and Oakley aren't top brands, they're the stuff that is available at every store and goes for 60% off a couple times per year. And Champion is very popular as of the last couple years... anyone who is somewhat in touch with fashion/style is going to vote for Champion over Puma, all else being equal.

Try Rhoback - I got a shirt and Q-Zip friend who didn't like the fit on him, but fit perfect on me and ended up getting a few more. Right in line with the sizing of my nike and UA polos but love the fit & feel way better

I love Linksoul too. If you haven't tried them yet get check out the Puma FusionYarn shirts. They are fantastic. Easily my favorite fabric. They are a little more technical, but still extremely soft. A little less off course than Linksoul though.

Peter Millar, FJ Athletic cuts, Greyson, Dunning is what is in rotation right now. Partial to more "boutique" type brands anymore, but will always keep PM in rotation.

 

Had some Vineyard stuff that I recently pulled out, just feels really cheap to me. Not sure why I bought it in the first place.

I'm a UA and Linksoul guy myself. I prefer a shirt with that cotton appearance, but performance feel. I wear them equal parts on and off the course so try and avoid that polyester look as much as possible.

Peter Millar all day! I do love some of the designs that FJ comes out with also.

Side note: I lost some weight got in shape and had about 15 FJ shirts that the sleeves and shirts were way too long. I have a client that runs a tailoring business and she hemmed the bottoms and the sleeves and holy cow best $40 I've ever spent. Look great and fit like a dream now.
