I haven't even tried a ProV1 this season... nor the TP5X. I know both will perform fine and do what I'm looking for, but both are at the top of the price spectrum... I'd rather find a lower cost alternative that performs as well for me... I'm confident I'm not losing much with a Bridgestone or a Snell and I'm paying $10+ less for a dozen...

The TM Project A or the Srixon AD333 Tour (UK name) are both Urethane and perform really well at a lower price than the "premium" offerings. Then there's the good old Chrome soft, which people seem not to class as premium... I have tried the DX3 too, which I wasn't as keen on as the others

I'll give them a try, possibly... Honestly, I liked the Snell's enough that his presence here makes me want to just buy the MTB-X and nothing else... I'm not 100% certain that is the road I'm taking, but I'm pretty damn tempted... The 2-1 Srixon deal has me tempted to break my promise before I make it.

For the money I don’t think Snell can be beat. For $10 bucks more a dozen it can’t be beat. For $20 more a dozen it can’t be beat. It’s as good a ball as any out there and there are a lot of good ones. I’m not one to say it’s better than this or that one, but it’s at least equal to any ball on the market. I’m extremely impressed and Dean earned my business with his professionalism and contribution on this site. Class act.

I've still got around 6 dozen RZN Platinum and Blacks in my cupboard, all of which I picked up for £20 a dozen. Given, for me, they outperform just about everything on the market, I'll go with those :)

The Dee Three - Titleist TS4 9.5 deg, EvenFlow White 6.5 65g, A1 Setting

Henrik - Titleist 917 F3 15 deg, Rogue Max 75x, B2 Setting

The Walking Stick - Titleist 818 H2 19 deg, Rogue Max 85x, B2 Setting

The Interloper - TaylorMade P770 3 iron, S400 Tour Issue, +0.5inch +1 deg loft

The Blades - Nike VR Pro 4 - AW, S400 Tour Issue, +0.5 inch

The Sand Iron - TaylorMade MG2 TW-12 Grind, 56 degree, S400 Tour Issue

The Flopper - TaylorMade MG2 TW-11 Grind, 60 Degree, S400 Tour Issue

The Putter - Nike Method 003 from The Oven

It's definitely a great deal.... I've ended up with too many demo balls this year and have decided to re-up on Snells when I run out of all my others... Maybe next year, Srixon.

Yep. Not quite on the same level of bargain as £20 a dozen, the Tour B range at £30 a dozen are remarkable value for what you get. Same price as a Tour Soft / AD333 Tour, and a far better ball to boot.

I still have a dozen of these and they are my go to ball when there is money on the line. I know my distances so well with these and I know they will land and stop where I want them to. I have been toying with the TP5's and I have found they are almost as good as the RZN Plats. They do just about the same but carry about 5-8yds further and roll out just a hair more.

Srixon ZStar (or XV) buy one, get one free. 2 dozen for $40 is best deal on the market.

> Go buy a sleeve of Srixon Q Star Tour and give them a shot. I did a lot of experimenting last summer. Went thorough A dozen Snell MTB, A Dozen K Sig, 2 Dozen Vice Pro Soft, 1 DZ Pro, Callway Chrome Soft Tuvis(not budget) 2 Sleeves Cut.....But this spring I bought some 6 ball trial pack of the Q Star Tours and Holy Sh*T I am loving them. I am 52 driver ss (98-102) and last time out I hit a bunch of drives to landing areas I have not seen in over 10 years. I think a lot also has to do with my driver shaft combo but the ball feels great, good spin and you can buy 4 dozen for the price of 3 of there website, get free personalization, free shipping and not tax so 4 dz for $89.97 When I need to get some more The Q Star Tour is what I am buying.

Same age. Driver about 10mph faster. I used the Q Star Tour in a scramble recently and hit some drives well beyond where our eyes could see them. It was pretty funny. Very long off the driver.

The MTB-X is a great ball but they won't fix your swing. B)

I’ve tried srixon, vice, oncore but haven’t tried snell yet. Of the three that I have tried, they all perform for me. Srixon probably the best of the three but the oncore elixir ball was a real pleasant surprise.
