Is golf your most expensive hobby?

I've gone through may hobbies from cycling, motorcycles, to golf. And it's not the most expensive, but it's the only one I still do.

I wouldn't even know how to rank my hobbies in terms of expense. After cooking/dining out, I probably spend the second most time golfing, practicing, and reading about it/watching videos. If time is money, then maybe Golf moves up to the number 2 slot. However, I game old and hand-me-down clubs. I go on two pretty affordable golf trips to Myrtle Beach each year, and my green fees aren't too bad. I'd say the bulk of my expense has been range balls, balls, gloves, and tee times. My dad got a golf simulator recently though and his house is near my office, so I've been able to cut back at least a $100 a month on range balls, which is great.

Eating, Travel, Sailing, Golf, Hunting, Fly Fishing, Cigars, Alcohol? That's probably a fairly accurate current ranking. I don't ski or ride horses much anymore (but my kids do).

I'd probably have to say watch collecting is my most expensive hobby. I think I spent close to 100K on watches last year....that was an absolute gut check and decided to spend more time and money on golf....which would be more enjoyable.

I have lots of hobby such as soccer, snowboarding, photography, videography, and golf.

And It is the most expensive hobby! Can't stop spending money on clubs...

Been racing since childhood, it will always be the most expensive thing I've ever done and that includes divorce.

I used to belong to two country clubs but I only had one set of clubs. Now I have no country club membership, and I have 5 sets of clubs.

Japanese golf clubs are a little like PRS guitars.

It's my main hobby, so yes it's the most expensive. Until this year my clubs were hand me downs from my dad, I've upgraded them this year and found some really good deals.

By far it's the most expensive. I even spend more on golf attire (shoes, shirts etc) then I do for my regular everyday outfits. It's funny, I don't think twice about spending $130 for golf shoes, but I REFUSE to spend that much for say sneakers.

Not sure if Travel Hockey is a hobby but I enjoy watching my son play hockey over the winter and spring seasons and it is a lot more expensive than my golf but well worth the money as he loves it.

Golf isn’t the most expensive, but it will be done more than the other two I have as I get older. My paintball hobby is pretty expensive and puts golf to shame in money spent. Owning a Jeep for rock crawling can be more expensive, but I do all my own work on the Jeep, so it isn’t bad.

For me golf isn’t cheap but as a hobby I feel get my most value out of it as the club I joined is basically in my backyard.

Motorcycle road-racing was not only more expensive but last season I only did 6 weekend events and spent what was to me a small fortune. Race entry fees, tires, race gas, parts add up quick every weekend. Plus all the travel time to the tracks far exceeds the amount of seat time I’d have racing my bike. But man was it fun!
