I was just wondering the other day on the course that I keep way to much crap in my pockets when I play.

-2 Tees

-1913 Quater (To mark my ball)

-Lighter & cigarettes (if I leave them in the cart my friend who only smokes when he plays golf will just keep taking them)

-Money clip (sometimes I just leave it in the cart)

-Divot Tool

-Sometimes a yardage book

- D-brush - this thing is great and I will have one in my pocket for as long as I play.

Does anyone else carry this much crap in there pockets----List away..

I usually have a couple tees and a ball marker or two (usually just spare change that I grabbed on the way out of the house, no specific years or anything) and the one thing I've always had in a pocket is a spare ball. I'm trying to NOT do this, as it is certainly unnecessary bulk, but it's sort of a comfort thing. It helps me remember to just relax on the swing because if things go wrong, I've got another ball immediately available to re-tee so it's not a big deal. Sounds ridiculous, I'm sure, and it's mental and superstitious, but it works.

I really dont like to have a lot of stuff in my pockets when I am playing

The only thing I keep in my pocket is my (clipped on the inside) divot tool/ball marker

Sometimes I will have my glove in my back pocket when putting but thats it.

Other items are a distraction for me.

Always - carry a ST Dupont cigar lighter in front left pocket, and my folding cigar scissors in back right pocket. Front right - a silver dollar to mark my ball, a flat club ball marker just in case, a Doug Tanaka cigar holder/divot tool, and one tee, that's all.

I also don't like too many things in my pockets.

    My usual includes:

Right pocket: Long plastic tee for driver, quarter and a smaller flat ball mark that you can usually get at courses (for when the mark is closer to the hole), and a divot repair tool.

Right cargo pocket: 2-3 Short tees for fairway woods, hybrid or irons off the tee. I hate them being in the same pocket as the driver tee.

Glove goes in the left back pocket while chipping and putting, otherwise nothing else in my pockets. I usually carry my wallet in my right front pocket along with my keys and don't like them there when I swing.

Everything else stays stays in the cart, usually in the valuables pocket in my bag. Sometimes I'll take a ball with me when I'm away from the cart and walking to my ball and there's a chance that it may be in the water or lost.

2 Tees - 1 blue zero friction, 1 short wooden tee.

    Divot tool

Coin to mark ball - usually a foreign currency - Polish Sloti, Mexican Peso, Euro.

Extra ball - don't know why, probably if I hook the first of the planet.

A couple wood tees, divot repair and ball marker...which magnetize together even though they came separate from each other. Of course my wallet is in my back pocket too.

Ball marker/divot tool(magnetic combo..currently Taylormade Ghost) and 4 tees(various conditions of use)- right front

Ball in left front...only if on the way to look for a ball that cannot find the fairway to save it's A$$!, otherwise extra balls in 'ball holder' in cart.

Back pockets empty...wallet in 'valuables' section..not that anything in my wallet has any value anyway!! spent it all checking in!

Like it light..the bag is right there if I need anything else.

when putting glove is hanging out in the left front...literally!

I always grab a few tees before I tee off (no particular amount, just however many I happen to grab when I reach in the bag) and throw them in my front left pocket along with my ball and a coin of some kind for a marker (usually an Odyssey poker chip). In my right pocket I have a spare ball. I keep my wallet in my back left pocket (2 guys at a local course were robbed at gunpoint, and the thief took their cart and bags, both of them had their wallets in their bag), and my glove in my back right pocket between shots. Depending on where I'm playing (see above note about people getting robbed on course), I may carry a pistol in the cargo pocket of my shorts, if I'm wearing cargo shorts.
