With a back injury, is Cantlay in a similar position as TIger Woods? Maybe Cantlay needs surgery to fix what is wrong and come back a better player next year.

Since when does getting close it making it into a tournament ever get you anything on the PGA Tour? Until they start paying for guys who almost Monday qualified, close will continue to get you've earned - the chance to keep watching everyone else keep playing.

Because the competition was so fierce (allegedly), it's easy to say that the field was far deeper than any PGA Tour event similar to how Web.com events are. Definitely deeper than the easiest major that some spoiled rich kid lucked into winning this year!

Poor kid, from what it seemed at the time, there was a lot of mocking of him going on and it was simply because of PLHR...come to think of it, PLHR and Cantlay both seemed to disappear around the same time. In all seriousness though, it would be good to hear an update as to what Cantlay is doing with himself and good to see if he could get back to some decent competitive golf, he must be what still only around 23-24.
