Anyone else find it odd that in the catalog there is no sign of cc's for any of the woods? Is that normal? Maybe I'm just imagining things but I swear their previous catalog contained that info.
I miss that being there. I like comparing the CCs of the fwys. Not sure why they didn't include it this year.
I don't know if they showed it for the Covert or Covert 2.0 but those and the Vapor don't actually take up that many CCs. The space they took out for the cavity doesn't actually count as a CC.

Yeah the 2013 and 2014 catalogs do show head size in cc for driver fwy and hybrids.

I think shakey and I were just commenting that they are good points of reference when looking at club specs.

I liked it especially for the fwys. I like comparing the newer tour heads to my old VR LTD CC-wise.

Quit slacking! Jk. Looking forward to it. Have you been able to get your hands on any other 2015 drivers yet? I can't wait for the comparisons of all the new heads even though Vapor is at the top of my list.

Just the 915 D2 for only 2 swings. Definitely don't like the new shape of it, but the rest of the club seems solid so far, the D3 is what I really want to get my hands on.

I was surprised how much I liked the look in person. I still wish they would offer a NikeID customizable program for their clubs, especially the woods, I would love an all black themed version of this. The Volt isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be, the sunlight makes it look more white than neon colored.

Did you get to try the irons as well? Looking forward to the write up
I hit the Vapor Pro Combo's, they were noticeably easier to hit than the version I have. They also have a thicker top line, look less blade-like, but from the 10-15 balls I hit with them, were very forgiving and solid feeling. If I end up getting the irons, I plan on a Vapor setup similar to what I have with the 714 MB/CB set. My initial reaction to the irons was also very positive, looking forward to hitting the blades.

Nice... I'm really looking forward to testing out the Vapor Pro Combo's. I liked the current pro combos, except for one thing... didn't like the feel of the 4 and 5 iron with the pocket. I'm hoping these feel a little better. I'm always looking for some more forgiveness, especially since I'm only playing like 1-2x a month.

Good question. I hadn't thought of that but that's a very good idea.

Interested to hear your comments on the sound of the 915 vs the VAPOR. Hit the 915 yesterday and could not believe I was hitting a TITLEIST based off sound alone. The purest might be in for a surprise as the solid has been replaced by "hot" sound. I have not seen the VAPOR in person but the shape on all models are second to none - far surpassing the shape of the 915 line.

I like the idea of a NIKEid line - but feel they are doing it at the appropriate level with wedges/irons/shoes. Driver could get messy quick with turnaround time and options. Irons are stamp paint fill and go - not easy but doable.

In the past I would be all over the FLEX head but I think I'm going PRO :)

Yes, I understand that the NikeID would be a pipe dream, and could be a logistical nightmare for Nike. But, hey, one can hope! NikeID aside, the reality for me has been that neither the Covert (Oven built) or Covert 2.0 has made it past the honeymoon phase black%20eye.gif. The 915D3 looks to be a really solid driver, can't wait to get the Nike's out for a spin to see how everything stacks up to my SLDR/Rogue.

Also, edited the OP, the 3 wood I hit was actually the "Flex" model, not the "Pro", sorry about that.

Played a 913 d2 recently on vacation. Forgot how good these were. Is titleist going to go with multiple stock shaft options at no charge?

This year will be tough between callaway and nike for me. Titleist might be worth a look. One reason I look forward to your shootout. Thins the crowd for me.

The 915 will offer two versions of the Rogue and at least two Diamana shafts (plus multiple weights in all shafts) at no upcharge. Maybe more.

I have to say that is something that I really like. That 913 came with a 72 ram whiteboard in it. I know in the past with Nike you could order a fairway what shaft that would be heavier and put it into the driver because of the 335 tip. Can you guys ask if that will be a possibility with the new drivers?

The Titleist is a great driver as was the Callaway less in the end flexloft made the difference. Once you get the right shifting weight I feel like the head has enough adjustability you almost make anything work at least for me.

So, I was lucky enough to be invited back to the Oven this Wed-Fri to test the Vapor line. As of now, I have no idea what our itinerary is, or what we will be doing. No matter how the trip goes, I do plan to do a very thorough review of the Vapor, 915, and DBD against my current SLDR setup. :)

Pure, I am super excited for you to have the chance to get out to the Oven and test these. You getting your regular reviews is close enough to me testing the product myself with your detail, attention to the minute parts of forgiveness versus distance (others forget this part), and general unbiased look at equipment. I REALLY wish I could be luck enough to do these trips or win a chance to test one early setup to my specs. Especially this time, I am VERY interested in the Vapor line and cannot wait to test it out and see what it can do. I can't wait to see your write-ups and look forward to the chance to read them and continue my very impatient wait to get these things outdoors and tested.
